Bow target descriptions

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 10:51 am

I have installed Oblivion about 4 times, sometimes I get a description of the target when I aim my bow cursor at them, sometimes I don't. Is there a tweak to make sure you know who you are hooting at with the bow? If not, you have to get so close to find out who it is, you may as well be a melee fighter!?

By any chance have a telekinesis (or another with the same effects) spell at the ready?

Yes telekinesis must be the issue here. No other way can you get the name for stuff from far away

If you are within melee (touch) range with your bow, you see the ID for your target. At normal bow range you will not.

An exception is, as noted above, if you have a telekinesis spell readied and your target is within range of your tk spell. My archer made a custom tk spell just for the purpose of target ID. When she really wants to know what her target is, she creeps up to the maximum range of her tk spell (100 feet is the most you can make at the altar) and scopes out what her target is.
