Bows n arrows

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 8:26 am

Verily I love my bow and treaure it over all other mortal weapons. But alack, I find my arrows often count for naught and go to waste when I am shooting at my enemies. They suffer no damage and it is as if my arrow had never been been launched.

Tis most discimbobulating to waste these arrows that cost real gold yet seem to disappear into the ether...

Can this glitch be amendeth through mods when I've installed the full GOTY version (of which I am currently anticipating delivery)?

I don't see an issue. The arrows you don't get back, I just count up as being broken or lost.

I personally love my dwemer crossbow. I just use cheap steel bolts. And together they will kill most anything before it even gets to you.

Tis just that some shots, on target, have no effect. As I missed yet i know I did not. Oh well

Whether you hit or not is a dice roll and is based upon your character′s skill with the bow (or any weapon) and luck.

It does get a little strange as the target is supposed to dodge the arrow but lack the animation for it. But that′s Morrowind for you :)

the crosshair isn't exactly true either. play around with it. for me to get a 'headshot' i'd have to aim slightly above and to the right of the head.

also worth pointing out that all weapons are prone to regular failure below 60, even at full fatigue

Also keep in mind that you need a silver, Daedric, or magic weapon to harm Daedra.

There is a DLC called Area Effect Arrows that adds a fletcher to the Foreign Quarter in Vivec, who sells enchanted arrows. Lots of them. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Official_Plug-ins. It is a must for playing an archer.

That is true with real bows too, and I mean non-compound. I generally aim with the arrowhead in both Morrowind and Oblivion as that is what I do with my real life bow and I have become much accustomed to that :)
