Morrowind- male characters had briefs.

Oblivion- Male characters had boxers.

What's your opinion?


Okay, so the real purpose of this is to ask your opinion on nudity. Do you think it will be included? Do you think it SHOULD be included? Are you adamant against nudity in a game like TES, believing that nudity is just a way to cover up shortcomings? Or are you oh so hot for your character's form, but are depressed by your belief that nudity will never come to TES?

Also, I realize that this may have been discussed already, however, I am on an iPod, and it would be impossible for me to search through the forums to find said discussion.

yea it's been discussed.. but everything has, so let's take it again; I don't care, I've never run around naked in either Morrowind or Oblivion, so meh... I guess I want them to wear something that fits the location/time

Thats what i thought...and the chicks had panties made out of horse skin(thats what it looked like)

I say leave it to the mods to do this if people rly want it... Personally I don't want to see some guys junk just because he has enchanted armor that I want to loot. Also look at this form a developers perspective, would you like spending hours designing male private parts :shakehead: ?

Granted I hope the females look a little better than Vanilla Oblivion but other than that, I say let the mods work their magic...

LOL ! I think, especially because this is a single player game, nudity should be in the game and adds more to the rpg experience. Maybe give underwear a small amount of armor stats for an incentive to wear it.

Of course you should be able to be completely 'nvde' in Skyrim. People always suggest modifications will add 'nudity' so it doesn't matter anyway or it shouldn't be added because it can be added for those that want it on the PC through modifications, but not everyone will be able to get the PC version. The largest audience of people are still buying The Elder Scrolls for the consoles. Besides, those modifications made by people wouldn't be considered canon. It would be nice to see the ones behind the game designing the 'nudity.'

Since for some reason it's still an issue for people, there should be an option in the menu to turn on and off all 'nudity.' It could be defaulted as turning all 'nudity' off, and would make it exactly like Oblivion where the underwear can not be taken off and also for people being looted it would not remove theirs. Additionally, if there is a mission like in Oblivion where your character is supposed to be 'nvde' (the mission where you get your clothes removed in the Mage's dream world) it would enact it like Oblivion where everything but the underwear is removed.

What the hell are you talking about? The characters in Oblivion ran around wearing dirty loincloths. I suppose Bethesda had regressed to the point where even the slightest curvature of the buttocks would've been considered amorally provocative to those dear soccer moms, so they canned the briefs idea.

I don't really care much either way.

I'm all for nudity, it's an 'M' rated game, that soccer mom's four year old should not be playing a game like this anyway, (All we need are kindergardeners running around with knives pretending to be Champion of Skyrim!)

I like the idea to toggle it as well, and I think that would be the best thing to do for such a situation.

I certainly wouldn't Even if the vanilla game has the ugly diapers that you cannot remove, I do hope that what's underneath is actually there so it can be modded fully for those who wants it. If they want to see private parts, then let them. Personally I would want inner clothing (incl. bras), so that if I take a curiass I still leave the fallen with a certain degree of dignity. And if they're completely stripped, I should be able to dress them when I put things into their container, not just add it invisibly.

You can become a panty thief and then girlfriend walks in and asks wtf you're playing.

I liked how they handled it in Morrowind. you could walk around naked (or in underwear at least) and the NPCs would make funny comments about it. I played Oblivion first so when I noticed this in my first Morrowind game it actually made me laugh out loud. I hope this is part of Skyrim too!

But in morrowind you had like a leopard print thong thing... I think that beasts should be allowed to be naked like in morrowind but i dont think that nudity will be included
