Boy in the Fridge - (Spoilers inside)

Third time playing through this quest. I never bought the whole trapped for 210 years. It seemed like I was being played/scammed/hustled the first time and I never shook the feeling.

Here's my reasoning. Let me know where I go off track.

1. No one in 200 years stumbled over the fridge?

2. Ghouls don't eat, drink, eliminate waste?

3. Billy is too articulate (Sane)!

4. Bullet show's up and just happens to want to buy a kid...a ghoul kid, a never been seen before entity.

5. Knew what a Mirelurk was (Could be misrembering this, someone else was talking at the same time during the fight, but I know Billy said something specific).

There's probably more that other people can come up with. Here's how I think it went down.

1. Quincy gets taken over by raiders ...(Yeah Gunner's which are just raiders with a PR department).

2. Bullet gets sent south to scope out any resistance and find's the Peabody house.

3. Ghoul Family with a Ghoul kid (never before seen, maybe one of a kind item). Tries to take Billy, Billy runs away. Bullet follows.

4. Billy hides in Fridge (door open so he can see out) for an indeterminate time. Spies the SS and once they are close shuts the door and starts screaming.

5. SS "Rescues" Billy and Bullet who was searching the area investigates. Tries to obtain Billy. Not sure if you can actually sell Billy as I never tried. Shoot Bullet here or take Billy home.

6. Billy arrives home and continues the act and if still alive Bullet shows up with friends. SS saves the family.

I don't think Billy was lying in wait for the SS, just latched on as a means to an end. He knew Bullet was searching and rolled the dice. Probably was ready to run if SS tried to sell him. Again it just seemed to silly to take at face value. What do you think?

I guess that's not a bad way to headcanon it. My guess: ghouls can eat and drink to stay alive, but since radiation heals them it'll keep them alive too. So, Billy was trapped in the fridge, getting constantly irradiated while inside of it, and went into a coma for the vast majority of the centuries that passed since the Great War.
