My friend and I were having a conversation about Elder scrolls, and we came up with an idea for a new Elder Scrolls game, where you (just quoting him here) '*Follow in the steps of Talos'' by becoming the tenth Divine. (I know, just hear us out here)
When he said ''Follow Talos'' we meant by ascending to godhood from your mortality by serving under the Divines by being a disciple, maybe just born to become the tenth a-la being a ''chosen one'' (cliché, I know)
Would you be humble in your rise to godhood? Perhaps silent about it all? Maybe a braggart? We were also thinking that maybe if you do things the gods disagree with, they may abandon you, with the Daedric Princes taking more of an interest.
We haven't actually thought of a whole story yet, or even where it would take place, but it would most likely have to be absolutely massive in scale, going through shrines all over the continent.
We understand that this idea won't be appealing to everyone, seeing as it [censored]s with such prominent lore figures, as well as possible extreme canon breaking. (For instance, if this were to become a reality, and there were ''moral choices'', in the games to come after this, how do they set the new deity? If they choose that you become a Divine, then all the players that became a Daedra's game canon means nothing [perhaps have another character that becomes the opposite to what you became?] and vice versa, as well as there being possible continuity errors and such, just a whole load of possible problems)
We just had this idea for the fun of it, I just decided posting it here would be a cool idea to see how many people agree with us and such!
(I would also like to apologize if this doesn't belong here, this is actually my first post ever to these forums, haha)
[This is also the fourth time I've tried to post this to the forums and it screwed me over, I had so much more but I forgot it all ;_;]
So, what'dya think?
