Yes, I realize this will be locked by a monitor due to the content being related to the new site, BUT this is literally the only way I can talk about the new issues with the site, now, as described in my list below:

Yes, this is the problem.
I just tried to go to the feedback thread which Pluto linked in the other thread that was just closed. You can open that thread, but you can't use the "Latest Post" link to get to the last page, because it just loads a blank page.
It makes no sense to send people to a thread that can't be navigated.
Yes, and now clicking on any thread at all on that site has a blank page, as described. There is no way to comment on anything there, now. We can create new threads, yes, but no one will be able to read them or respond to them. I see no message on the site describing any maintenance, or anything else that would have broken the program (seems like something broke for sure).
Exactly. I have this exact problem as well. If I read threads via old notifications, and I can actually seem them, and comment. If it is a thread I have not posted in previously, no way to actually read the content.
Update: Just tried accessing the site on Firefox (I was using Google Chrome). I can open the first page of a thread fine (except it has horrible load times), but "latest reply" still gives a blank thread page. So it seems like it will be just as difficult to comment and so forth even on Firefox.
If you are unable to log into the forums, it's fine to report that here.
With yesterday's launch of FO4 Mod support for Xbox the forums have been rocky, and occasionally inaccessible. We're aware of this issue and working to resolve it.
I have finally been able to log in..... It is just that certain links to actually log in, take you to an entirely new login screen, that I have never seen before, that simply doesn't work. (I know I typed things correctly.....) If I go back to the main 'community' page, and click login from there, it automatically logs me back in again, at least, for 30 minutes or so, then I need to do the whole thing over again.
I last had to log in here MONTHS ago. This site remembers me. Only time it really logs me out is if I don't visit for a week or more. Why does the new site expire my cookie after 30 friggin' minutes? Sure, generally I just click login, but, at least once per day, it prompts me for my password again.
Side note: I believe it is when I try to go directly to my notifications, after having been gone for a few minutes from the site, that I see the 'new' login screen.
Yep, that is exactly what was happening to me.
does anyone else find it counter productive and somewhat inconsiderate for them to no longer allow us to post our opinions on those forums over here, and instead just keep redirecting us over there?
its sort of like if a burger place said "you can only complain to the manager if you take a bite of the burger your complaining about every second word"..
So, I still haven't received any of my 2 password reset attempts.
What should I do?
Try again, or wait it out?
I really wish I could just remember my password, but I have so many passwords and I cannot ever remember every variation of my passwords nor which site I've used whichever variation on.
If I use a site frequently, I'll remember it, but were talking Bethesda.net here, so I never go there unless I have to.
I won't be able to help with this, but I hope you don't mind me asking: Password for this forum, or the new Bethesda.net forums? That may also help the moderators with assisting you.
not just complaining, but even providing general feedback on how it is to be improved upon to make it something we may like to use..
if a person wants to provide feedback (which they said they want to hear from us, hopefully they act on some of it) saying why they don't like something and give suggestions on how they could improve it, specifically forcing them to go through the thing they don't like in order to give it doesn't exactly give a "the communities opinions are important to us" vibe, it comes more across as "we have to get them to use our new forum ASAP whether they like it or not!"
"Last reply" is currently not working, but you can still navigate to the last page by the standard method.
And you can reply to the OP if you just want to provide feedback.
One of the reasons why the new forum exists now is so that people can give feedback on how it needs to be improved before everything gets moved over. That was made clear from the very beginning.
Splitting up feedback across two forums makes it harder to have discussions and pinpoint problems. (The same reason there is one Fallout forum, not two.)
Bethesda.net
I mentioned it in the other thread that got locked today.
I requested a password reset twice over 15 hours ago, and I have yet to receive anything in my e-mail. And yes, I have checked my spam folder and I have also checked all of my other e-mail accounts.
Hi Pluto:
Yeah, "Latest Reply" is still not working properly, but I can now finally access threads. However, the "standard method" is useless when you want to try to reply to a comment at the end of a 60-something page thread which did not pop up in notification inbox.
It's difficult to give feedback on the new site about the new site when at times it won't work, and feedback needs to be given about it not working.
We have...repeatedly, yet most of the issues we've complained about till we're blue in the face are still there...with some new issues that aren't yet fixed, and all we keep hearing is that we are aware of the problems and are working to fix it.
Sorry to sound like an ass, but this sort of lip service has grown extremely old. We don't want to hear it anymore, we want a fully functioning forum we can all enjoy coming to, and the new forums don't even remotely fit the bill.
Except for when a thread is MANY pages long.... Like the Forum Feedback thead? Yeah, paging thru a page or so at a time? I really don't think so.
A question I would have for anyone that care to answer though, is: Do you think the 'new' forums are EVER going to be "ready"? From what I understand, the Jive (aptly named, I might add) software doesn't support BB code, so, there will never be any spoiler tags. We still don't have a 'go to first UNREAD post' capability, there is NO editor for PM's, it is just plain text, that's it. Replying to any post in the forums puts your post up, but, reloads to a blank page, still...... A fair few of these issues have been around since the forums first opened, and STILL haven't been addressed, in fact, some of the stuff that WAS working, ISN'T now. (last post, for instance) In all reality, very little has changed there, and none of it for the better. Some prettification, and that's pretty much it, functionality has declined, not improved.
To the best of my knowledge, the Jive software (cracks me up every time I see that......) CANNOT provide the forum functionality that the CURRENT (here) forums provide. So why would anyone want to migrate from established forums, that work, to 'new' forums, that essentially.... Don't.
Bethesda.net is so broken for me.
I can't reply to some topics I have to click go to original post.
The way I type it's too much work for me to go and identify which word is in the restrictive language or should I send each paragraph or everything I type in a Private Message (PM) to a moderator every time I want to reply to a topic or a comment?
As of yesterday topics started disappearing I see them, but everything in them is empty no words, no avatar of the person, just the Bethesda.net logo appears.
I think ZeniMax Media Inc. and Bethesda Softworks need to just stick to these forums instead.
I can hardly post any comments on the Bethesda.net forums due to all of these bugs and sometimes I get connection time outs, when my internet works perfectly fine everywhere else.
and what about the people that have issues posting on (or even reading) the new forums? its not good PR to just say "no, post it over there if you want your opinion to be heard, not allowed over here anymore" when they physically can't
See my comment above you about the problems of not being able to post comments on Bethesda.net.
I get either restrictive language or the topic appears empty when I open it up or I get connection time outs sometimes for some reason when my internet works perfectly fine. And sometimes the reply button is missing.
What happened to having a closed beta, and having a few folks use the 'new' forums, to whip them into shape, before moving an entire COMMUNITY to them? That just stinks of poor planning. I think the events of yesterday (xbox mod release day) beautifully illustrated that the entire site just wasn't prepared for what was coming. Traffic at the new forums is about a tenth of what it was here, if that.... simply because they are so broken. If Beth took a poll at this point, asking US, their customers, what they should do, I would bet my bottom dollar that the result would be an overwhelming majority voting to move those communities BACK HERE. But then, do we even really matter to beth? Even the total population of these forums, at their peak, as a tiny percentage of their total customer base.......
I would start a thread, with a poll, but, I don't think it would last long, before it got locked.
Yeah, the "restrictive language" thing is nonsensical. We have words like "joy", "fist", "van", "idiot", and "Charlie" being on the restricted list for no good reason.
