has anyone managed to get the BONUS for this mission? i tried to kill the guy when he was in rorikstead but too many guards walking around, so i waited for him to get to whiterun. he's like maybe 10mins from reaching whiterun then turns back around?!?
this quest has done nothing but test my patience, and when i was patient he just turns around?!? WHY?!!!

has anyone completed this quest w/ the bonus and are you able to kill him in rorikstead? it said major city, which i don't think it is one.

I managed it, I didn't even bother to follow him. I just went to Whiterun and kept waiting until he was in the city and stabbed him as he was heading for the gates to leave.

Rorikstead is considered a village. I killed him in Windhelm, and for some reason, the guards helped too! He was about to leave the town when I came up right behind him, and all of a sudden, he started attacking me, so my follower went crazy and mowed him down. Then the guards chimed in and helped too. Didn't even have to get my hands dirty. :thumbsup:
