Alright, I've played Skyrim for over 300 hours now and I never did the Blood on the ice quest and I want to do it, mostly because I want to have the Windhelm house to be decorated. (atm It's still bloody, dirty and stuff. Due I never finished the quest) I also did the War storyline and killed Ulfric. I am not able to decorate the home, which I think is because I never finished the quest.

But the biggest problem is that I never started the quest, that is because when I started it first time I died later after that and had to start the quest again, but I didn't bother. So what I'm asking is that is there any way to complete the quest?

The thing is that the guard and the people around the corpse are gone, I'm just wondering is there a way to finish the quest otherwise.
