One bad thing about buying the children's bedroom is that it removes the alchemy table and also one of the barrels under the stairs so make sure you empty that!

Please specify... was this done post-Dawnguard install? I mean, you have Dawnguard installed already, you bought the Alchemy Lab for Breezehome *after* Dawnguard was installed, and the lab shows up? You didn't uninstall Dawnguard to do it?

Is that the only normal house that can be made kid-friendly? It seems like one of the bigger houses would make more sense. Hjerim is still my house of choice. I don't see why I can't turn the secret room into a kid's bedroom.

Maybe the kids will disappear like everything else in that house does. I just had to stop bothering with that house at all.

Honestly I never thought they would also make the existing houses kid friendly. Removing an alchemy table svcks though. I wonder what the other houses lost.
