Okay I don't know what I'm doing. I want to make a breton that looks like April from Dreamfall. I figured I'd carry a staff of some sort and maybe a sword or dagger and then a lot of spells. I just don't know what to do. I've played as battlemages, I love Destruction spells and Restoration spells, especially warding. It makes any mage fight epic. this time there won't be any armor

Mages don't really do well early game, they're much better late game though.

I've beaten a fair amount of the game with my battlemage redguard...i know where to go to get stuff. I just need help with skill distribution.
