Why even use other races?

For lore and aesthetics for example. I like Argonians, I couldn't care less if Breton has better stats.

i dont like passive traits... i like active abilities - this game has way not enough active abilities anyway (most perks are passive)...so give me more to do!

It is obvious that Breton is the best race to make your character.

Dragonskin : Absorb 50% of magicka from hostile spells for 60 seconds.
Magic Resistance : Breton blood grants a 25% resistance to magic.

Why even use other races? And why have people not even mentioned how much better these are compared to other races.

Lets see now, Dragonskin absorbs 50percent magicka for 60 seconds.
Magic Resistance: Breton blood grants 25percent resistance to magic.

Can a Breton absorb 50percent of the steek axe I bury into their skulls?? Or the 25percent of the arrows I shoot through their skulls??

nord is nice too, 50% cold resistance, and i use a 40% fire resistance necklace. + the stone that lets me absorb 50% magic (or 50% chance on absorb completely, not sure which 1 it is)
