Breton Voice Problem

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:38 am

I have the CCR EE mod installed. There is a known problem with this mod in that it switches the voices for all Bretons to Imperial, and some unique dialog (like Haskill for example) is not voiced by Bretons.

So after reading the comments on the mod I went into the construction set and under Character/Races/Breton I set the Male and Female voices to Breton (from Imperial).

That fixed the male Bretons. But female Bretons have no voice. Just subtitles. If I disable CCR EE they have voices. If I re-enable they don't. Male bretons are fine. In the Races/Breton form I have Breton selected for both male and female.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Do I need to set something else for female Bretons? Thanks.

I thought that female Imperials and Bretons used the same voice files, but the males were separate, before this mod. In which case, just don't change the females to the (non-existent) Breton, leave them Imperial, like all the Bretons were before.

Does that make sense?

IIRC the voice actors did one set of lines and they were used for one race, or several. Lynda Carter's Orc and Nord voices are the same files used twice, and all the female elves use the same set. Khajiit and Argonian may also be the same ones. The male voices were more often unique to the race.

Thanks Deathb0rn and ghastley. I'll try setting Breton Females back to Imperial.

So Female Bretons use Imperial voices. I wonder why? Oops sorry.

Thanks again.
