Bretons with French accent?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:14 pm

Felt like starting a random topic for laughs (I'z a bad bunni XD) so I wondered how the forumites would respond to the idea of Bretons having a French accent?
Why French? Because traditionally, the description of Bretons started as "Passionate and eccentric...". That has French written all over it for me :)

No, I prefer not to be annoyed the entire game. If anything they should have a british accent.

would that mean that imperials need to sound italian as they kind of represent the roman empire..
and please please please no to british accents, i have much respect for bethesda but i have never known an american to portray english accents correctly, for example the few time i've been to america i've been mistaken for scottish several times :(
and as part of the french way, would they run away from any fight, and as part of the british way i would have to invade the homes of every breton on the game

I still say we merge the English Daggerfall Bretons with the French Morrowind Bretons into some awesome Celtic society. :D

I'm just going to let the developers think this one through. I'm of French and Basque ancestry, and when I think of accents, I tend to think they can be a bit overrated. They're still important though.

More as in Celtic and English/British influenced. Wasn't meant to make sense, but it would be funny to hear all the Breton knights and mage lord talk with an Irish accent.

Oh man bad Allo Allo accents would make this game a mockery, not to mention PO a fine nation.
Both of which are against forum rules.

Unless you're being serious, then maybe french would fit.
Myself, since they've got elf blood a elven tongue would suit.
Since they're Bretons and this is Skyrim maybe an old english, celtic or gaelic tongue would be better.

no i was saying thats what it would be if they did. It [censored]s me off how american's use posh or cockney accents for english accents. Obviously not heard an accent from the midlands or north.

Nah forget the accents, I just think they should look sort of...druid-like. Tatoos, braided hair, things like that.
