Brief Spider Gameplay

Post » Wed Jun 15, 2011 7:43 am

i was watching the Best of E3 video from X-Play, and when they started talking about Skyrim, i noticed they used a little footage from the demo we didn't actually get to see. It was a couple seconds from the spider fight they had talked about. its not a lot I know, but you still get to see how the spider animates briefly
To see it, http://www.g4tv.com/videos/53685/X-Plays-Best-of-E3-2011/, and skip to the 2min mark

Brief is an understatement. You can blink and totally miss the footage :P

Nice find nonetheless

Thanks. It's brief, but any unseen footage is nice.

I wonder if it will be possible to summon one. At least a smaller version, I would hope.

I really like the combination of that vertical swing and the spider stagger. Good animations there, felt like there was some impact.

I bet it's just footage from the behind closed doors, full demo, and they just can't release the whole video until Bethesda does officially...

I hate spiders. And I thought the spiders from Dark Messiah of Might and Magic were bad. This game will give me nightmares. :bolt:

That guy got to watch it...thirteen times. Lucky. Anyway, I love the spider animations we've seen so far. Scratch that, I love most of the animations we've seen so far. A lot of work went into this game. 150 hand crafted dungeons is still incomprehensible to me.

Also, I can't wait to catch things on fire. I hope NPC's have a funny, run around and scream reaction to being caught on fire. :flamethrower:

That looks sick and it gives me the creeps, (which is good thing), the animations look so realistic as it moves. I'm definitely going to fight those things from a distance... :poke: :yuck: :dead:

Nice. When the trolls in OB did that running in and running back thing, it just looked weird, but when the spider does it, well, that's what spiders do, looks great.
