Brightness issue! Please help.

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 3:49 am

So I launched Crysis 2 after finally finishing the DL on it from Steam (ugh slept in on accident...)

So I'm in the menu and that window comes up for adjusting the brightness until you can barely see the image.
Well, the image isn't visible at all from brightness 1-100, and it says if you can't see it to adjust your tv/monitor settings.

Well, I tried changing brightness and contrast all around in Nvidia Control Panel and no matter how much I change it (even at 100% contrast 100% brightness) the image still isn't visible at all in the box.
What do I need to change to make it visible and how the game is supposed to be?

Looking forward to your (swift) replies!

Anyone? I'd like to start playing the game but obviously something in the game or on my PC needs to be changed to make the brightness right.

Adjust your monitor settings from the monitor's built-in contrast and brightness menu.

Adjust your monitor settings from the monitor's built-in contrast and brightness menu.

Nice effort, but re-read the OP.

Also, this is the pic of what I'm talking about if you don't know what the Control Panel is: http://img863.imageshack.us/img863/6830/45932297.jpg

when you change the brightness in the nvidia control panel you also have to change the settings to overide the game else the game takes control and changes the brightness back.

its listed under manage 3d settings somewhere i had a similar problem with a diffrent game a few years ago thats how i fixed it.

but theres always the the brightness level of the monitor itself also try changing that (as in changing brightness with the buttons or dials on the monitor itself).

Yup I do have it set to use Nvidia settings for everything, and I tried changing my monitor settings as well but still nothing.

you dont have to set it to that you can customise settings for 1 program if you want in the program settings tab.
then add the exe and tell it to use global settings then the settings in the control panel will work in game.
