Bring Back Melee Staffs!

I would love to see melee staffs back, so long as they don't take away the ability to shoot spells from them.

I never played Morrowind, how did it affect spells when using a melee staff? If all you did was just shoot magic from your hand instead of your staff then I guess I'm cool with that, so long as the staff is still equipped.

"Why would one want to swing a staff? A mace hurts more. Or a sword. Can't shoot a fireball from a sword, though." - M'aiq

Hard to trust the word of someone called M'aiq the Liar. :whisper:

Just differentiate between a magic staff and a quarterstaff. One looks more combat-oriented and is wielded differently. It can fall under the category of blunt weapon. The other acts like a second loaded spell that doesn't drain your magicka when used. It's really the difference of enchanting a weapon with touch/target effects.

For that matter, why can't I enchant a sword with an on target effect? Point it at someone and a fireball comes shooting down the blade. That seems like the ultimate Battlemage and ironically, Spellsword, weapon.

I would like to see if the Tang Mo have their own brand of staves since they're race is based on Sun Wukong.

This... It would be pretty exhilarating casting a spell from a staff while casting magic through your free hand as well.

I think It would be nice if they did it the same way they did in Two Worlds II. You can fight with your staff and make enchantments separately.
