Bring back Modding!

Dear Bethesda,

The original Doom still has a cult following 21 years later that releases new content on a weekly basis. Modding is what kept the series alive. If you look back, abandoning proper mod support has seriously crippled Rage. Take Valve and their Source games as an example. The community keeps pumping out unbelievable content which really benefits the longevity of their games. If you want to keep making money with Doom on DLC or expansions, make sure there's an active community surrounding it.

It's stated you'll finally add decent MP in an Id game again. We haven't seen that since Quake 3 Arena. This is a good decision but MP games need new maps. The community could bring you that. It's also stated that the game is running on IdTech6. I hope this version addresses a lot of issues and is especially more modding friendly. Setup a wiki site in advance, add tutorials, show the editor and make sure it's released with the game and not years later.

Games are turning more and more into a content driven service. Valve got that from the start but Epic is jumping on board as well with the new Unreal Tournament. I know you don't want to license out the engine but that doesn't mean you can't have your customers have fun with it. Your own game Skyrim and Fallout still have huge followings which largely has to do with all the mods for it. Long story short, Bring back Modding!

Regards,

Infje
