Bring NPC back to life Restart side quests

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 3:47 am

Dear friends.

Well... this is a weird topic, stupid in fact, but I will try.

There is some way to bring and NPC, part of side quests, back to life? At least, he is in one piece. Or just restart the side quest, that has no influence in the main quests. I know that in Fallout New Vegas and in Fallout 3 death means death, but... maybe in Skyrim? Or other Bethesda game?

And why I just don't reload the save file and do it again? Because I did it early in the game, when I didn't have enough attributes/knowledge to save him, and did about 10 days of gameplay after that... then I saw how important he was. Maybe resurrecting the character / restarting the quest is easier than reload the pre-historical save file... and I play on PS4, so, no tricky codes...

Well... any hope for me and my dead friend?

Thanks and please don't laugh at me

Ahhhahahaha.. I'm kidding. It's actually a good question. Without console codes unfortunately there's not a way. Who did you kill anyway? Maybe there's a work around.

It was Paladin Brandis, in BoS Side Quest "The Lost Patrol". Didn't have charisma to convince him to rejoin the BoS, so he turn aggressive...

Also there's Arlen Glass. The toy-making ghoul that lost his family in the war. He can be found in The Slog. Just give a holotape found in don't-remember-where and he get really happy. There was a Raider attack in The Slog and he was killed...

They're not essential for the game, but if I could change things, it will be nice.

Thanks for the help pal.

On consoles there is currently no way to resurrect these side quest NPC's. Even if you could, in many cases it is more complex than just resurrecting them.

It is more common for main quest NPC's but even with side quest NPC's there can a ripple effect that can occur depending on whether they live or die.

I'm pretty sure as your first response indicated you must just restart from a save point. I must have restarted the last part of SPOILER ALERT... The Silver Shroud about 8 times because Kent Connely kept dying. I basically restarted from a save quick save point about 8 times because I kept trying different dialogue options, as I have a high level of investment in charisma and I wear an outfit that gives me +3 to charisma. I eventually figured out the "deep orange" dialogue option worked for my protagonist to trick the enemy into allowing Kent to live.

That's a good point.

The annoying fact is that, when I figured out how important he was I went to Reckon Bunker Theta to see him. Put him gently in the bed and crossed his arms over his chest (took almost 15 minutes to do that...). Picked his laser rifle and put in the side of the bed, in the vertical position, and put some bubblegums in the desk near him (didn't have flowers, so bubblegums will do the work).

Came back some days later and was a Raider (female Raider Psycho) inside. Paladin Brandis was just in underwear and all messed up. Pacified her, ordered to go to the river near there, pickpocked all her stuff and went back to Paladin Brandis, and gave him all her stuff (and his clothes back). Went again to the river and shoot her in the back of the head. Dragged her head until Sanctuary Hills and put it on the top of a footlocker.

Maybe this is enough to honor Paladin Brandis.

Oh... and there's Arlen Glass... and also remembered one "Front Desk Attendant" Mr. Handy, very nice, in one rest home near the Museum of Witchcraft. Killed merciless by a small group of Synths that entered in the house when I was there. Maybe this event is in the game... but, anyway, R.I.P., Front Desk Attendant.

*Sight...*

Maybe I should stop playing Fallout 4 so much and do something with my life...

That all sounds very sad. :( RIP Brandis...

The most weird thing is that, to enter in the Bunker Recon Theta you need a password for the terminal outside, obtained during "The Lost Patrol". How the hell that raider get inside?
