Since this is a TC mod it won't have anything to do with Morrowind. So yes you can make up a starting scene and then post it so that I can see how you take it. But make sure that you implement at least SOME of ancient Egyptian stories into it.

I am sorry, but have to confess to being ignorant about what TC is. Tried searching under TC and TC mods but the forum search engine would not allow it.
Do this TC mean that this mod will not require Morrowind ? Because what I have came up with is a story about why some egyptians came to live in isolation in Morrowind.

TC is short-hand for "total conversion." So the mod will require the Morrowind program to run, but it in a sense replaces MW entirely. When you launch the game with a TC, what you get is not MW, but the setting created by the TC.

Thank you, so I learned a little today :read: Have to change my story a bit, posting it tomorrow(night)

That looks really good Mystery05. What 3D program did you make that in?
that particular mesh is from mighty joe young if im not mistaken i just fixed up a bit of the textures to it. he also has a king tut mask and a few other really nice egyptain things like pillars and a headdress and stuff like that. Ok i just looked it up its from his 5th pack

the Egyptain style urns im making are just the morrowind ones but if you would like they are going to be a resource so your free to use them if you wish. all i can take credit for are GIMPin the textures and applying them with nifscope. but the only mesh maker tool i do have is blender. im redoing some of the textures now. im making 2 versions of each urn one with overlays and one with out overlays. so that ppl will be able to choose what they like best. i think im going to go with 1024 resolution. and if ppl want do drop it down they can do so . you can keep up with the progress of the urns threw my photobucket mystery052.

oops forgot to mention they are being made so that they will not over rite any urns that are already being used.

If you look at the Arktwend thread i this forum, you can see and read about a TC which is already released :)

After playing the TC Arktwend, I have realized the potential for a TC and think this look very promising. It's also good to see, that severel wellknown members of this forum are part of the project, since it seems like a gigantic project.

Hi guys,

here are some first artworks of mine for the TC. An interior landmesh, which is the first of a large series of new landmeshes and the first new plant models I made. The next plant I'll do will be an animated carnivore which does collision damage to the player, when touching him!!! :D

Well it looks totally awesome! I hope you do build all this on a "clean" esp with no Morrowind in it at all? Cuz I would not like to see this as a "huge landmass south of Vvardenfell".. I am really sorry I can't be any helper as I have trouble with distance between me and my precious Morrowind.. :)

Spells in ancient egypt, if so, very rare, and if so mythic creatures would also be in place.

Sad I can't mod.

Magic in Ancient Egypt was supposed to be very successful. But, not having lived back then, I can't say if what they called magic was really just chemistry. But some of the stuff I've heard of seems difficult to do by chemistry or otherwise...

It's a TC, so we're stripping out as much of Morrowind as we can. It'll have its own history, people and magic - there will be no connection what-so-ever to Morrowind. :)

In looking for ideas for a project of mine, I came across a few Egyptian inspired weapons that I'm making.

I haven't done textures yet, or started on a dagger, but if you'd be interested in these, I'll donate them to this project...

:P I nearly put a caveat in my previous post because I knew that what I'm working on isn't historically correct. Egyptians primarily used bows and spears, their sword was a khopesh, and clubs were also used (sometimes cerimonially, but I'm not sure about combat use).

History and mythology nut.

Hi guys,

here is some further impressions of what I'll do in this TC. This is a solid door of an ancient tomb, which has a monster head on it as a guardian. I've animated the monster's eyes, so that they move from side to side. This Monster-Head will be created as an activator and it will have scripted sound-files, so that the head can speak to the player, when activated.

I'm just a newbie in aninmation, but I'll try to have fully animated new heads until release of the TC. I now already how it is done, but sadly not everything that works inside blender does automatically work ingame too! But I guess I'm on the right way!!! :D

...and the work in progression:

PS: We still need more 3D-modelers, because we want to make this TC as unique as we can. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner, because I'm one too, just doing blender for half a year now. We will teach you what you need to know and with some practice you'll improve your skills soon!!! :violin:

i have belender and have been wanting to learn for a while now but i decided to learn gimp first.

however ive gotten pretty good with gimp and have been able to recondition quite a few pieces of egyptain artwork . making it look new instead of ancient so if any art work is needed for tapestries, wall paintings, or anything else . there is one shot on my photobucket account ( link provided up above } which shows a before and after of one of the pieces that i reconditioned.

so just let me know if something that like would be usefull . ill be more then happy to recondition any art work that someone else finds provided its complete enough to tell what should be there.

after im done with the urns im going to make some misc items such as plates cups bowls and other misc items.

You are more than welcome!!! :D We'll need all kind of stuff of all-daily use that has the egypt style. The more we have, the more convincing the ancient egyptian feeling in the TC will be. So just produce what you like to!!!

I lead a team that teaches modding for Morrowind modding, and we also teach Blender. You have to sign up for my faction "The DarkNiTes" over at Great House Fliggerty however.

This is what I came up with, as a sort of a setup.Made it simple needs more meat on it. But would not go further in case you guys allready hated it.
Was it something like this you had on your mind and is it (or some of it) usable ? Critic and comments please. Sorry about the spelling errors.
Prologue
During the 28th dynasty, with Egypt still recovering from a Persian occupation, a great sundering took place in the realm of the Egyptian gods.
Amun also known as the hidden one, a god of creation and one of the eight members of the Ogdoad. Foresaw the coming of Alexander the great, followed by the ironclad roman legions, and the ineluctable end to Egypt as a great independant nation.
Knowing that the demise of the Egyptian culture and the foreign influence, with the forthcomming influx of their own native gods. Would mean either total assimilation or fading into oblivion, Amun decided to act.
Embittered over his lose of power, position and the defecktion of his wife and sensing that Ra, preoccupied and troubled with the inevitable end of his reign, was severly distacted, he acted swiftly.
Amun gattered a handfull of of the other gods, mostly half forgotten ones or gods with a grude to the Pesedjet. He then sent two of these Kephri and Montu, both former sungods out to steal the remnants off the egg Ra originally hatched from. Kephri - who had lost much of himself to Ra - had also gained knowledge under the merging and thus were able to locate and gather the egg, while Montu - a former wargod and adopted son of Amun -dealt with the guardians.
With the aid of Seths caothic powers, Kephris power of rebirth, renewal and resurrection and his own powers of creation and taking full advantage of both his and Seths unique position in the realm of the Egyptians gods. Amun then mended and created a new world within the egg, a new Egypt, then he his fellow renegade gods and their followers went into the egg.
Seth stayed behind though, his motive to help has not been to escape but to loose a rival. In exchange for Seths help, Amun had to take Apep with him into the egg.....
Now two Millennia has gone and Amun is starting ceaseing to excist. Therefore you are summoned( or created)....

That sounds excellent for the TC mod's opening scene! In fact can you write more of these? If all of them are as good as these we can create cutscenes for each part to place. The main hero (PC) will be the one to place each piece of the missing puzzle together so that he/she can finally find peace between all of the realms. The realms that are fantasy like are really parallel worlds that have separated from each piece of history ever since the gods' conflict. Yes now I'm starting to get a clear view of things...
