I love sleeper hits. It works out well to me.

What you have to remember with Homefront is that is an ALPHA the first playable version of the game. A lot a balancing still needs to be done.

It's weird that Homefront is in "ALPHA the first playable version of the game" and they still expect the release date to be March 2011

Now I am worried thanks. I think they have a much bigger team than SD anyway.

People are getting pumped mostly because they would want to see what an invasion of the States would be like, and that's exactly what the singleplayer is about.

And Battlepoints isn't like killstreaks seeing as how you can get battlepoints for literally EVERYTHING. You get battlepoints for getting kills, assists, caps, defends, deaths, spotting targets etc.

Maybe I have to correct my decision concerning Homefront and especially Crysis 2 Multiplayer. I picked up a video on GameSpy and it actually looks very entertaining. On Thuesday January 25th the demo of Crysis′s Multiplayer will release and the demo of Bulletstorm will release too. Hopefully Splash Damage hops on that train and gives us a demo too

Yeah I try to stay from demos....I don't know why but whenever I get them there are always way too many problems with them. That could eaily just be me and my messed up console but I just wait for the whole game to come out and see what it's like. If it's it worth it I'll get it and play it.

This is one of the reasons I'm a bit worried about BRINK! coming out, but even if it doesn't have the biggest fan base, I've been telling a lot of people about it and gotten a hell of a lot of people interested in the game. Hell, I know about 6 people personally that have already pre-ordered it besides me. But I do know a lot of people that just don't see much in BRINK! but they see a lot in Homefront.

"I think what people may find irritating about Brink is the fact that it seems like a fast paced close combat massacre. The levels appear to be very confined and even with the SMART system to help you move around it comes down to who has the better close combat gun. The only real strategy lies in the how you go about the level and attack your opponent." - This what my friend said when we we're talking about Brink and he's not gonna get it.

Isn't that the strategy of every FPS?

The concept of homefront(for me anyways): "Dude what would happen if we took the MW2 levels Wolverines and Exodus and made our entire game look like that? That would be so awesome, but we need to be original. Oh I know instead of communist Russia we have communist N. Korea attack instead. Genius."

The game lacks so much in originality it annoys me.

To be honest I actually like the story for Homefront. I know it's not exactly original or anything, but I still find it interesting.
Hell, I had it pre-ordered until about an hour after I found Brink.

Really and Call of Duty or Battlefield had an interesting idea. I think it is interesting and seems more like an actual story.

I don't recall anyone saying COD's or BF's story were any good. The only thing about Homefront that looks somewhat interesting is its story. The MP looks like it could possibly be fun but they're not really introducing anything new aside from "battle points".

Though the Battlepoint-System basicly origins from Counterstrike.

Even worse. Sorry, never played CS so I wasn't aware of that.

It does have 32 player matches and dedicated servers for the console version. I think it's been attempted before, but never really succeeded.

In CS, you had to earn money to buy a gun each round, or else you would have to use the free gun which wasn't very good. You earn the money by winning a round, getting kills, or doing objectives. That means that everyone starts the first round with the same gun, and whoever wins the first round could sometimes steamroll just from better equipment after that. The first round was pretty important.

Never said they were good or bad or that they had bad storylines, I just said they weren't the best...

Could you call in tanks, helicopters, and drones in Counterstrike? Also they have this new Commander system.

Read about it. Maybe this is borrowed 2 but I like the concept, just how I like the Frontline system in their previous games.

Counterstrike was about infantry combat. No vehicles. (I guess you know that anyway.)
But the Battlepoint-system is essentially the same. (They could just give you money instead.)

The Commander-System ... well ... I think it's a new thing for shooters. Sadly, people will say BRINK is like Homefront because Homefront releases earlier (doesn't it?), which is worse press for BRINK.
