Brink Ability Preview, Day 10

But I have to go all the way to CP to heal and get ammo and the extra pip and I don't think the extra pip refills..........

Yes but they won't go boom.

I think you may perhaps misunderstand how the CP bonuses work. Every CP your team controls (aside from the ones at your spawn points) gives out a buff to your entire team, either an extra health pip or an extra supply pip. Everyone gets it. They don't have to go to the CP to pick it up or anything. It's just like a reward for holding that point, sort of.

Really? Oh, I was under the assumption you had to physically go to the CP to get the buff.

Wow, this opens a world of strategy. I'm getting that buff CP ASAP.

Yep, Command Posts are actually really important tactical positions. Hence why taking them and holding them is most likely going to be a very intense and important part of the game. Kinda like having a Domination match going on at the same time as all of the main objectives and stuff.

EDIT: Yay, only 19 to go!

I'll stop by every now and then to make sure everyone at our CP are alive and well.
(OMG you remembered that? XD)

I have a good memory for useless information and trivial trivia. And a terrible memory for important things, like addresses, phone numbers, etc. It is both a curse and a blessing.

So yeah, if I decide to use mines (don't see why not), I know where I'm likely to end up putting them.

So your using mines, CP upgrade, and turret?

As a medic I'll be using self revive (no medics where me and Wraith plan to be except for me), Adrenaline (temp invicible), and either Laz Nade or pip regenerate faster.

Indeed. We Engies are nearly as valuable as Medics now!

There is also the (well-known) reward of being able to switch classes at a forward in the field, so it's kinda like a double bonus. I am very much looking forward to being a good support character by stealing, upgrading, and firewalling CPs for my team. I may not see a lot of action, but I'm here to make sure that YOU will be prepared when YOU see it.
