So a few minutes ago what popped up on my twitter?

Probably an in-game collectable like the 'intel' from CoD's or the flags from Assassin's Creed. Perhaps they tell the story of the Ark's shady past as you collect them..?

There are 20 ranks.

However, why is there a Light on the symbol for Rank 2 and a Heavy on Rank 5?

It might simply be symbolic of becoming more of a 'heavy weight' in the ranks...

20 levels broken up into 5 ranks to help keep same skilled players in the right games

I believe they just wanted to show off the light and heavy bodytypes tbh thsts why its rank 2 and rank 5

Ya, but the odd thing is: Lights are said to unlock at Rank 7.

Heavies do actually unlock at Rank 5.

it is April 1st but the OP found it on twitter it was posted in facebook and Exedore didnt say april fools in the same thread topic on Splammage website

if they did prank us they would do it in one place not across 3 websites

They're unlocked at levels 5 and 7. Those would both fall within Ranks 1 and 2.

Rank 5=level 20

I certainly wasn't in on this prank.... Check my post history... I even made a mistake about the rank cap in this thread.

I doubt anyone else organised this as a prank as it really wouldn't be worth the time or effort of making the pictures for the achievements etc.

actually there both rank 2

rank 1= 1-4
rank 2= 5-8
rank 3= 9-12
rank 4= 13-16
rank 5= 17-20

I'm pretty sure you can make as many characters as possible whenever you want. There are 5 ranks with 4 levels each. When you go up 4 levels you rank up.
I.e. Rank 2 Level 6
Once you reach those 5 ranks you're done with that character. You can either choose to stay playing him or choose someone else

Level 5 unlocks the Heavy bodytype, thus unlocking a new world of weapons and fatness.

EDIT: Is there a difference between Ranks and Levels? It seems like it, but I rememeber Ranks going from 1 to 4, with each rank being 5 levels. (1-5,6-10...)
