Brink is amazing.

Here is how it is, I'm getting tired of reading these peoples posts that say, "I hate it, don't buy it, and I only looked at the pretty pictures and had no idea what the game was actually about".

So.. just wanted to say.. I think Brink is amazing. Err.. yup.

The gameplay is great, but the technical issues are still bad.

Brink is a great game that is bogged down by terrible lag / multiplayer issues.

Also, is Brink dead on 360 already? I seem to constantly find rooms of just 1 other person, rather than a more full room. Or worse I'll join a room all by myself.

Seems that it is either A) Dead or B ) There is something not quite right with how the online sets you up with other people.

This game could be fantastic, I'm just really confused how such a huge MP title failed to have basic things such as lobbies. Not to mention that when I do find a game that has some people (Only 5v5 games though, since anything more lags me to hell and back) and I level up, I am unable to change anything about my character. I am then forced to leave my game to customize my character, then start the game search all over again and hope I find a decent room.

This game is close to being absolutely amazing, I just hope this terrible launch hasn't already killed it. I also have a feeling lobbies will not by added  .

I'll settle for a better match making system and no lag though.

I totally love this game.. I cant get enough! I have been playing it on Xbox 360 since the release date.. I have noticed that the game is running wayyy smoother the last 2 days and the graphics appear to be a lot more clean than on the first few days of release. This game just keeps getting better especially once you level up your character and really wrap your head around the endless team co-op kill combos. I am working on leveling up 8 totally customized characters (4 resistance 4 security) with my main (best) guy at rank 4 Level 16. I pre ordered a few copies for the Xbox so I have access to the 'Spec-Ops' weapons and 'Psycho' pack weapons.. super sick! as well as early access to the Bulpdaun SMG with the 'Doom' pack skins/kit.. so basically I was murkin fools right out of the gate. I gave the copies away to a few stoner friends that I know are too lazy to cop their own copies,.. now they are super hyped to play.. win win.. BRINK RULES!!!! (SIDE NOTE> I spent some time with my HDTV's custom video tuning options to make Brink look soooo awesome! please pass the word to anyone playing the game that it looks best on a 1080 HDTV and tell them to tune the games graphics in with the tvs custom video controls to make the game really POP graphically. have fun running down a handrail while blasting 2 dudes then landing in a slide as you throw a moltov at another set of enemies.. hell yeah!! MY GAMER TAG ion XBOX 360 IS>> DroTech2G

I got the game yesterday and I think it's my first from Splash Damage. So far I have to say it has been as I had expected. The game is great fun, easy to learn and I expect difficult to master.
There are a few technical issues, but I'm sure those will be ironed out soon enough. Once PSN (I play on the PS3) is fully back online and running smoothly this game will develop itself quickly enough into a ton of online fun.

Eh, think are fixing them quickly :D. They fixed the lag in less than 2 days for us on PC.

I think it is a good game with a lot of potential, but to say that it is great, in my estimation, is stretching it a bit. It could be much better in the area of graphics, control smoothness, speed of motion and turning, and several mp issues. It is a 6.75 as listed in gameinformer and a 6.0 in gamespot and I agree that these are fair assesments of it. In all fairness, my opinion is limited to the 360.

The new MW looks off the chain and yes, I too, love the COD series among others, including this.

Dude! Don't act like you don't play cod also. We don't beleive it. Like it or not, COD is the standard by which all other measure themselves in sales and gameplay. They are continually trying to be the COD killer.

Yes almost everyone has played it.

No, nobody is trying to replicate COD. Their popularity sure, but their new game style and recent activity? Hell no.

I stopped after Cod4 cause i was smart enough to realize it was the same damn game over and over again, actually they made the mutliplayer worse.

I agree that MW1 is the pinnacle of the series so far. But you have to admit that they are the paradigm that all others judge themselves by.
