Yahtzee from the Escapist often complains that the it costs him around $80 in USD standards to buy a game.

The metal box isnt something i want to pay over 100 dollars for. If it came with every preorder pack, metal box, concept art, signed poster :celebration:, and maybe even a little figurine :hubbahubba: then i would buy it.

Same in South Africa, it costs anywhere from 600 Rand here and upwards. (The Rand looks upon the Australian dollar with green envy...but we have lions and stuff on our notes which makes up for it)

But forget the price, we don't even know what our pre-order bonus is.

We pretty much just get one bonus for the entire country with no "store options" as they don't deliver games here.

The suspense is killing me!! I'll take the tattoos and postcards! I'll take scraps! Anything!!

It's Australian, their dollar is.. Well.. Weak as [censored], every game over there is at 100$+

Not like the gaming industry seems to care about the currency rate, if a game is 60 $ it's most likely to be 60 euro's which is just [censored] if you'd look at the curren exchange rate.

Does it say that Brink is mature? middle left of screen, under add to cart it looks like it says M for strong violence.

EDIT: oh, it says 15+ next to it. Is M the Australian equivalent for T?

No its rated M

No, it's an older version. BRINK was originally supposed to be rated M, but SD toned the game down until it was rated T by the ESRB. I imagine this rating should be universal.

If this is true, then it would probably be priced at $70 (US) and I would still pick it up for the steel book. Its on the left side of the page in a margin, and it looks epic.

A real CE would come with a big badass poster, a Resistance bandana to wrap around the mouth and a Security Dogtag, a bunch of extra footage and commentary on separate disc, and unique guns/gear in game. Not this...whatever the hell this is.

Stronger than USD right now. Games are [censored] expensive though.

I got it on Steam for that reason.

No. Not everywhere in the world uses the ESRB. Australia has a different system, which also uses the letter M in it somewhere.

M is about the equivalent of T to a low grade M. But the scale is different. The Australian OFLC says it's rated MA15+ now (M for you non-Aussies).

Anything with violence gets an immediate MA no matter what. Unless it's lightsabres/swords/punching, then it's M, no questions asked. Blood? BANNED INSTANTLY.

I'd love that. I'd buy another copy for that.

Swords aren't considered violence? That's odd.

Also, if it as legit, Bethesda and Splash Damage would have announced and advertised it. We'll have to wait and see.

Same product at EBGames New Zealand.

Maybe it's AU-region exclusive?

Or maybe EBGames are the only ones who think advertising the metal box is worth the effort?
