Well, basically because the game hasnt been released yet, and you can't say its a review of the game if its not released, let alone finished. Thats why i believe

Maybe you could say its a Preview, not a Review. But at the same time how can you prove you actually got a copy of the game?

Brink is still in it's Beta stage isn't it? It's not even finished.

edit, from the article:

So making my way into the place, I decided to make a bee-line for the Brink booth.
The game was just being shown off at... Um, not sure what convention, but like I said, Brink isn't finished.

The review mentions that at the very end, since its a review on the test build at EGE.

That's like judging the way grandma's cookies taste while they're still in the oven.

Ive actually seen that review in no less than 3 places at this point, so I think the person who wrote it just posts it whenever he joins a brink forum.

DarkAngel posted on the Splash damage forums, and a couple people reposted it on their own fan sites

The thread's probably gonna get locked really because the primary focus of the thread is a link to a another forum. You know how that goes. I read it though and it's exciting that he could just jump right back up after getting melee "knocked down" because his attacker thought he was dead.

Nick Breckon Stickied at the top of this forum

Do not post: Etc

And the text contained therein is:

Hey kids! It's your old pal Forum McRules, here to put the formal kibosh on magazine scans, transcripts, and links to either of them.

No magazine scans or links to scans on other sites are allowed on this forum.

Likewise, we will not tolerate anyone transcribing the article and posting that, or posting links to a transcription.

Our moderators will be keeping an eye on these and removing links, handing out warnings, suspensions, and so on. So be good, and don't do that.

And then there's another sticky up there that has ALL the links to all the other BRINK RELATED SITES. I'm betting on locked.

The forum is not allowed to have any information taken specifically from magazines, due to copyright or plagiarism laws. And they do not allow advertising, because it just floods the forums. Posting links to interviews had no trouble in the past.

Y'know... Maybe we should just let Donner deal with this and call it good, responding to taboo topics (if this even is one) could arguably count as promoting it since you're bumping the thread and keeping it in view of the public. ;p

edit: Wow, I'm a total hypocrite, where's the delete button? -_-

Oh. Well then forgive me. I wasn't trying to be a jerk. Just foresaw the thread most likely getting locked. But I understand. They should make shadowcat some kind of honorary moderator or something.

Well I appreciate the article. However insulting the forum is a good way to get locked.

Cheers!

Agreed, there are worse things you could do than try to offer more information to the forum. Even if its a repost, there are bound to be people who haven't seen it, and its more helpful than other reposts like "hai guyz, I found the release date"

Especially since anyone with a release date has no idea what they are talking about. :spotted owl:
