Yay, They are shooting to have BRINK to be pre-loaded before game is release, Just like i thought, Dedicated servers still the same as well, as far as giving ADMINS full control to run their own server with the free server files.

Only thing that worries me is this part, highlighted in yellow.
In terms of available game options, how customizable will the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server be?
The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server includes several different game configuration files covering all of the regular game modes, including campaign, stopwatch, objective, and co-op challenges. In addition, there are a variety of server-side commands available that allow you to further customize your server, including team sizes, time limits and overtime, warm-up rules, friendly fire, voice chat, availability of Command Post buffs, rank restrictions, number of bots, and password.

What's there to worry about ???

It's only there for people that rather want a 5v5 than a 8v8 for instance....

That's just called a massive public server ? I'm sure you can see the number of slots in the server browser.

If yuo don't like big servers , choose another one :)

Yeah, I hope this is actually not possible, too.

Less is better. More is worse. Call of Duty doesn't work with 18 players either.

I don't think they'll allow you to make the team sizes bigger - they deliberately kept the game 8 vs. 8 for a reason.

Regardless, you should be able to see before joining the game (if SD have set things up right) and just avoid anything more than 8 vs. 8 if it is possible.

Great news about PC dedicated servers, must be just about the only game that has come out in the last couple of years that has supported hosting your own servers and offered the ability to modify settings.

This dedicated server info tipped the balance, you have secured my pre-order through steam!

I still find the 3 day delay between US and UK based on some age old store release schedule unacceptable bethesda, but you have given me no choice -_-

Neither are why the dates are the way they are.

New medica (movies/cds/games) release dates differ from the states and europe.

In US we release on tuesday Hence May 10th is a tuesday.
In UK you release on friday hence may 13th is a friday
only time this isnt truee is when a publisher wants a special or solo release then they release on a diff day usually wed or sunday (friday for USA as well)

At least it's not like with Movies.

True Grit released in German cinemas in February.
Four Lions released in German cinemas this week (I own the DVD for months already).
