Sounds great. The only question I have is how is the soldier going to enable the new napalm grenade. On the wheel - up is objective wheel, left is molotov, right is flash grenade, down is det packs, so where will the napalm go?

well the abilities are mappable to the three locations so you just won't have one unless you change it.

just put brink in and update was available, seems to fix lag and seems tweaks to weapons have been made. Also if this is free imagine what we would get if we paid *drools*.

Where are you located. I hear that the Europeans are downloading it right now. I live in Canada and would love some Brink MP tonight.

http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/05/27/brink-dlc-details-and-stats-site-update/

Today we’ve got some exciting news to share about two big Brink updates in the works.

First up, the statistics site will be going live next Tuesday for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players. PC players can look forward to it going very soon. This site, located at brinkthegame.com, will be your hub for in-depth stats, including data on matches, players and the overall progress in the weekly Battle for the Ark. Check out the screenshot above for a sneak peek and dig up that VIP code as you’ll need it to register once the stats page is live

On top of that, the Agents of Change DLC is just on the horizon, slated for release in June. The pack will bring new maps, abilities, character customization options and weapon attachments to Brink, while also raising the level cap to 24. Here’s a full list of the DLC content:

New Maps

Founders’ Tower – The revolution finally reaches the island’s iconic spire and takes the battle for the Ark to dizzying heights.
Labs – Venture into the depths of the Ark’s original research and development laboratories, a submerged high-tech facility so far untouched by the civil war.

New Player Abilities

UAV – This stealthy and lethal device allows Operatives to automatically mark nearby enemies on their radar. For more explosive fun, they can even take direct control of the UAV and detonate it near unsuspecting foes.
Napalm Grenade – Soldiers can use this new grenade to cover an area in a sea of deadly flames.
Pyro Mine – Engineers can plant these mines and leave enemies in the epicenter of a massive napalm explosion.
Field Regen Unit – Medics can deploy these units to increase the health regeneration of any nearby teammates.
Tactical Scanner – This universal ability allows players to reveal the active buffs of their opponents, allowing them to pick off enemies more strategically.

New Weapon Attachments

Bayonets – Gain the edge in melee combat and cause extra damage with these deadly blades.
Weapon Shields – Take cover from enemy fire and prevent headshot bonus damage behind riot-style shields.

New Character Outfits

The Sad Punk – Add a touch of Steampunk to your Resistance character.
The Limey – Bring order to the Ark with this outfit inspired by traditional European police.

In addition to these updates, we’re happy to let you know that the updates we described last week will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this weekend.

Cheers good sir. :ninja: for you troubles

Napalm grenades and Pyro mines, gonna see a lot more fire from now on. Wonder if the mines can be stacked like the original?

This also. I think they should have just added the skills and not add more skill points. The game was really well balance as it was. Now it might not be so much.

Oh and that Universal skill seems kinda lame although i can only judge it once ive used it.

Yeah they should have kept it at 20. I already have 1 extra skillpoint that I don't know what to do with, after I've maxed out the universal skills and my class of choice skills.

I already have a character with Op and Med maxed out o.o so it won't matter about the 'easiness' to max the class abilities out :\

And in order to do so you had to give up certain universal abilities. With 4 more points and only 3 more abilities (assuming you count 2 classes and a universal) you can now go back and tack on another, plus all the new abilities for classes take up a slot on the wheel it would seem, thus removing another needed skill from each (assuming they don't require you to already have another skill).

More abilities is good, more points just means not having to make the decisions. I was disappointed with the setup when it got knocked down to the 50 some in the game because it requires less thought to pick certain skills. Let's be honest, half the universal skills are useless to most players and even some of the class skills lack use, particularly when playing certain game types.

Have you gotten 8 different characters to level 20, all of them spec'd differently?

There is *much* replay value in Brink!

Hope it's a night time map, or a stunning sunset. But some of those abilities seem redundant. What is the difference between napalm and a molitov? Does the fire last longer or something? And the healing unit seems to step on the toes of the metabolism boost. I can see myself using those extra skill points on better abilities. Can't wait for pictures or even better, videos.

Sounds good. Sneaky with the Abilities but I expected as much when I first read the thread about them.

At least some maps will be good. Not sure how new abilities and that will meet up with maxxed out characters (yes I know about the level cap raise), that means a top player will be able to have a total of 24 abilities. Ouch. That makes for some uber super soldier material. Enough to max out 2 classes, I think.

Thanks! This looks awesome :) Like the stats page, and the weekly "who won the ark", it will add a bit more complexity to the game.

It kinda seems as though they're just throwing us a bone. You can't deny the fact that they shipped unfinished game, we had better never pay for DLC for this game. I like the game and overlook most of it's flaws, I repect them for trying something new in the FPS genre. I hope the next title isn't as rushed as this one was.

Pretty decent dlc, it seems they're trying to add a bit of something for everyone, even if some of it is just cut content (bayonet, etc).
Still the new maps sound interesting and i'm willing to bet anything that the Founders Tower is a what-if.
I would have liked to see some lobbies added though.
