Once this comes out i MIGHT go back to playin but thier is not a single ounce of replay value one you level. Ill prob try it and get bored like i did with the rest of teh game...



Wow.....Just wow. So you play ONLINE MULTIPLAYER SHOOTERS just to level up? When did you start playing online games because unlocking abilities is not the reason to be playing a team objective shooter.

I will be pretty much [censored] people with the UAV. I'm already a damn skilled operative (as evident from me averaging 8000-10000 a match), and that ability is going to allow for even MORE havoc to be wreaked. And to all of you talking about "The DLC being free is SD trying to cover up for releasing an unfinished game"...


SO WHAT!!!!


It's new content a month after the game is released. How long do they take to release new content on the other FPS games? Yea...that's what I thought. People just complain for the sheer sake of complaining.

Actually.. These so called "abilities" were planned to be in the original game. (Some players were able to find them, thanks to a glitch)

Guess they ran out of ideas ... Wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the "new" content was also within the original game and then cut for DLC. :glare:

Still, its free.


More like they ran out of time really this game is blatantly unfinished but far from scraping the bottom of the ideas barrel. With CoD, BF and GoW on the way later this year Bethesda HAD to release Brink pre-summer drought to give it a fighting chance to really get going while the competition is still in development.

As much as I disagree with this post, he's more than likely right. A new IP (especially one that's fight AGAINST CoD) won't stand up against CoD.

I live in Australia. Could anyone tell me when this DLC for PS3 will be available here?
I put in BRINK this morning and it said "update available version 1.02", but i dont see anything new, everything's the same, no new maps, abilities, guns or anything.

Have i missed something?

yes because shields havent been in any other fpses besides cod
actually now that i think of it, they havent really been in any ive seen as an attachment

Compared to the amount of problems other games (some of which never get addressed) have at launch.... I'm thinking KZ3, Brink isn't nearly as bad. Most games have lag and while annoying, texture pop is far from game breaking. KZ3 is having it's ninth patch just a few short months after it's release..... talk about a rushed game. They are quite literally building the other half of that game post launch. Embarrassing.

And free DLC for consoles is nearly unheard of so...

UAV – This stealthy and lethal device allows Operatives to automatically mark nearby enemies on their radar. For more explosive fun, they can even take direct control of the UAV and detonate it near unsuspecting foes.


I don't like this new ability for ops, can't say its useless but ops already have comms hack which will mark all enemies on teammate's radar, that detonate function makes UAV more like landmines and satchel charges.

Also that Tactical Scanner ability svcks:
Tactical Scanner – This universal ability allows players to reveal the active buffs of their opponents, allowing them to pick off enemies more strategically.

What stratege you can take after you revealed the active buffs on you target? Nothing, you can't take buffs off, all you have to do is SHOOT, nothing changed. :swear:

SD ran out of ideas!

If there's an ability(let's say-------sniper ) gonna greatly reduce sway of all kinds of sniper rifles(barnett & drognav currently) and slightly increase the damage and reload speed that is much more usefull than UAV for ops, IMO

i'm not going to lie. The riot shield sounds like BS to me. The bayonet maybe is okay, but ONLY if it gives "knife like power" with the SAME draw backs...

Over all, its okay. Still needs more though IMO.

Sounds okay to me. I'm going to assume it makes equip speed commit suicide, along with maybe stability. All to prevent the 1.5 multiplier that is a headshot.

Another one here who'd rather they didn't increase the level cap past 20. The extra abilities WITHOUT raising the level cap would give us more diversity in player characters.

Well...

There is that whole "well that Engineer's got the *#&$ buffed out of his gun, but the Soldier next to him doesn't. Who's going to do more damage if I can't kill them both?" option... Or "that guy's got a Metabolism buff, better kill him fast or he'll regen before I get there" - I can see a few uses for it...

Well I can tell they've been tweaking the AI, but it still needs fixing. Other than that my PS3 version is running fine. :mellow:

They would have gotten better review scores If they didn't cut all these content from the game to release after in DLC
