I personally cannot wait for this DLC. It's nice to have two new maps and the abilities are great, plus I think everyone will appreciate the level cap being raised. However, I think they need to continue with raising the level cap with further FREE updates (not DLC). I hope that the second DLC, however, includes loads of maps and also is priced properly. Personally, DLC is making games cost nearly $90.00 if you buy all of the content. I am not a huge fan of DLC, but free DLC - bring it on! Some games, though, do offer GREAT content. It seems that more and more games are cutting the original game's content and claiming it is DLC - it pisses me off.
And yes, the best thing right now would be to see the lag fixed first and foremost. This is the most important thing at this time.
I also find it interesting that they were able to release a day one patch to address the Xbox 360's pop-in texture loading. Although it has been reduced somewhat, it would be nice to see another update for this to completely rid the game of this problem.
At least they are keeping us up-to-date - their blog is wonderful.
I recall Homefront (and many other games) during release having major lag problems, so I am crossing my fingers that it is addressed very soon.
