Hello there everyone at Bethesda! First of all I'd like to thank you for all the amazing games you've made over the years. They have without any doubt been some of the most immersive and awe inspiring games I've ever played.
Not to mention you have inspired me to write different styles of music as well, which I really appreciate. But enough of that and on with my questions. (And sorry if any have been asked, I don't have the time to search for everything.)
1 - Will brink allow manual control of FOV? I think for some PC users these days not having this is really annoying and in rare occasions game breaking. As Brink seems to be impressively smooth playing with fluid "parkour style" Movement I think it's safe to assume that some users will experience motion sickness (It's inevitable most of the time, I realize). A lot of the time the effects of this can be helped a bit by finding a more comfortable FOV that the user can find for themselves. Also these days theres so many different resolutions that it only makes sense to allow for it on PC. And of course I need to mention surround/eyefinity setups.. Which I have and 90% of new games are not supporting it properly.. Even with the aspect ratio set rarely does it look properly.. Bad Company 2 allows this adjustment and it truly is beautiful, easy on the eyes.. Love it.
2 - Will you guys release new content as in maps, clothing, weapons using the "DLC" ideology or will you be releasing updates free of charge? I'm really not going to harp at you guys if you are going down the DLC path because I do understand very well how the market has changed and how you also need to provide this content to the PS3/360 networks and how that requires you to blah blah blah and so forth something something.. But yes, it just needs to be asked.
2.5 - And will you have a "micro-transactions" store where players can buy items, comparable to what you can find in Team Fortress 2 or Portal 2?
3 - Will BRINK support mods? And if so, how long will we wait for it? A new trend I've been noticing with a lot of companies these days is the promise of things that they decide to ignore they have everyone's money or till' it doesn't even matter anymore.. I find that so terribly depressing. I don't think a game requires those options always but it's the best way to build a dedicated following and long time playability. I know there has been quite of bit of mods for your other games so I have my fingers crossed BRINK won't be an exception
4 - Will BRINK support DX11? Honestly it doesn't really matter to me after seeing what the boys at crytek did with DX9.. But my curiosity is unrelenting!
OKAY, sorry if that was too much at once.
Congratulations on all the positive feedback, keep up the good work and be well.
