I worry that the Engineers and Spies will be like they are in Team Fortress, 2 ie instant kill melee weapons and hard to see, constantly wrecking havok on my Engineer turret and totally ruining my gameplay experience. Will this be the case in BRINK? That’s the MAIN reason I hate TF2.

Thank you

No one-hit-kills in Brink, except on an unbuffed Light. Even then, there's very limited weapons/abilities that can do it. And by the time you've unlocked the Light body type, you've had 7 opportunities to buff your health permanently.

Melee isn't a one-shot - Knife does extra damage, but gun-butt has a knockdown effect, which leaves the person vulnerable to incapacitation while they're on the ground (unless they decide to get up before you can hit them again).

Hello Creators of Brink , I recommended the game to all of my friends and shared pre-purchase links from steam to facebook! I cant wait for this game to come out in the stores, it is the BEST game in the world! I love the parkur, the shooter and all the creative ways to custumize your character and weapon. I also pre purchased the game from steam.. It is AMAZING and AWESOME!! Thank you for making this game. I love you!:) :)

1. what sort of cheat-protection will you guys be using? PB [punkbuster] is a joke all games I like to play and sadly have cheaters like Black Ops, BF BadComp2, Combat Arms, etc.]
2. Also could you recommend a video card for me? I'm upgrading my system and am looking at a gtx580. Do you think that could handle all settings for BRINK? Thank you

They said in the FAQ that they are going to use VAC.

So basically nothing.

The industry really needs to work on a new protection system. That or they just don't care and just want product purchase profits.

VAC ain't very effective to bust hackers it's true but at least it ain't a steaming pile of [censored] who bans people for no reason and hope that some cheaters are banned in the process.

Searched this topic for "preload", no results. Will you allow Steam and all digital retailers to send out serial numbers so we can preload the game and take the day off work to play? :)

What use are hats/tattoos/ different pants etc visual addons? Do they add any stats like a helmet adds 10% headshot protection? Or are all visual accompaniments players can wear merely just for the visual thrill? Meaning can we rank up or pay for unique game items that give players small advantages ie stronger vests, helmets that protect etc?

Visual customisation is purely visual.

They already confirmed that one in a few places.

There's a couple of class-specific armour bonuses you can get though.

Just a quick question about challenges; I was wondering how many there are; I've heard the number 4 thrown about, with 3 difficulties for each. I've heard that you unlock weapons and attachments for completing the first 2 difficulties, but the 3rd is just for bragging rights. That amounts to 8 challenges wherein you unlock something. With 20 or so guns to unlock (assuming you start with 2 or 3) and numerous attachments to get, divided among 8 challenges? I don't know how this math works out. Did we misunderstand and there are 4 challenge types, or do you unlock 1 or 2 items every time you beat a challenge so you have to repeat them, or do you unlock copious amounts of gear for completing each challenge? I'll be fine any way it is, but i would just feel a bit unaccomplished if I just unlocked tons of stuff for beating one challenge; it won't really change my opinion of the game much, (already have it pre-ordered ) but i was just curious. Thanks for reading, and keep up the good work!

P.S. When will these questions be answered!!!!

Why would you only start with 2 or 3 guns?

I'm sure there's more than that when you first pick up the game, personally - At least a couple of each weapon category (Shotgun, AR, SMG, Sidearm, etc.) except maybe the Long Rifles (since there's only 2 of them to begin with).

With exactly three weeks to go before it hits stores, we're opening up the mailbag again to take your questions about any and everything regarding Brink.

Wondering about the most minute gameplay detail -- or curious about post-release support? Splash Damage CEO Paul Wedgwood is standing by to answer your questions. Leave a comment here -- we'll collect them all and get as many answered as we can.

If you are someone who needs ammo or needs health, will your player automatically call of help or do you have to call it out yourself by facing a character and pressing a certain button?

That's a possibility too. I was just thinking that they would probably start you off with a solid gun or two like in MAG and make you work for the rest, but they could give you 1 or 2 from each weapon type, but for some reason, I can't see it. Feel free to disagree with me

I know I'm not a dev, but I know i can answer these few now.

1. You choose your faction before going into each mission.
2. What if missions are just extra missions that you get for completing a campaign. 1 for security, 1 for resistance, but each one needs enemies of course, so what if missions are 2 extra missions played from 4 different standpoints.
3.????????????????
