I could care less about rating, lol.
I have seen good games that are Teen and I have seen good games that are M, aaaaaaand I have seen good games that are rated E. ^_^ I love games like Sly Cooper, Okami, MegaMan/MegaMan X, Uncharted 2, Infamous, Little Big Planet, The Sims 1-3, the Tomb Raider series (before this new future reboot), Jak 1-3, Ratchet and Clank, Lego game series, and a bunch of Nintendo games, etc, and they are not rated M. (Oh, gosh, I loved these games sooooo much! Especially action, action/adventure, platform/adventure games)
I also love M-rated games like Bayonetta, Killzone 2, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age Origins, Gears of War, and Borderlands.
...Now that I think about it, I usually prefer Teen and E games because they are more cartoony and light-hearted (which is more of my thing), especially if they have cute cartoon characters or furry creatures, but lately I have been getting some M-rated ones, lol. Still, I spend more hours playing the Teen/E games more than the M ones. ^_^
*Gasp* I forgot about Beyond Good and Evil HD remake. I got the Sly Cooper HD collection (I  Sly Cooper) , but I forgot about Good and Evil. (I heard Good and Evil is a really good game.)
Anyway, Brink seems to be a nice mix of seriousness and kind of over-the-top weirdness, so it's more in my general taste area. If it's Teen, it's even better. (M-rated games are good, but with shooters, I hate hearing swear words all of the time---especially Rico from Kilzone 2. I'm all like, "Wash your filthy mouth, Rico! And you, too, you random Helghast! *stabs both of them with a knife* And the over-the-top blood/gore, goodness! I toggle the censor options in Black Ops, Dragon Age Origins and Gears of War, lol.)
