Brink Flaws?

You my friend are also correct in your thinking, but I wouldn't say no game is perfect. (coughUncharted2cough)

The best games never are perfect.

I think the "bombards you with info" thing is probably valid, this is SD we're talking about, and I've heard the last enemy territory game gave players a lot to learn.

I reckon it'll be worth it though, besides, I've watched all the vids, read lots of previews and the compendium.

"Are you ready to use these brothers!?"

I am ready.

I don't think there's any justification whatsoever to be negative about Brink at the moment. Here's hoping it stays that way. :shakehead:

PC/Xbox Boy Mad? :teehee:

A 10/10 doesn't necessarily mean a perfect game, it usually represents a game that rises against the crowd, awes the players, and is almost impossible to put down. Its a score to praise a spectacular game and let everyone know that it is the game to get.

Thats why 10 out of 10s are not given out often. To say that no game deserves one because no game is "perfect" is a misinterpretation of the scores meaning. :spotted owl:

Erm drop dead, i don't know what your on (I assume nothing :P) but a game can't get a 10/10 without being perfect. Any flaws will detract from that 10/10, if the game is amazing but it takes 4 hours to find a matchmaking game, as fun as the game is, and as much as it awes the people and rises above the crowd i still wouldn't give it a 10/10.

Little problems detract from a 10/10 rating, it has to be perfect to get 10/10

Plenty of games have gotten 10 out of 10 without being completely perfect. As long as the core game is fully functional and there are not any game-breaking flaws and glitches, Brink will be fine.

I'd like to disagree with you. In fact, I believe Halo 3 got an 11/10, and we all know where that went. I didn't like the story in Uncharted 2, too cliche for me, but the voice acting made up for it. Resident Evil 4 got a 10/10, but the castle part of the game is very dry, and it actually made headshots bad which was frustrating. A 10/10 merely means its among the best video games of its time, not that it's "perfect." Something could always be fixed.

FPS players are divided into "those that can" and "those that want to". Most games make it easier for "those that want to", making it even easier for "those that can". SD wants to make "those that want to" competetive and the best way to do that is to make them "those that can". How? Through heavy doeses of information. Learn to play first, then learn to win.

Mass Effect 2 was the http://cdn2.knowyourmeme.com/i/5293/original/Facepalm.jpg of perfect.

My word! People I was JOKING! Yes I do think Uncharted is great, but by that comment I was just kidding around. Really don't take it seriously. The last thing I want to do is make a bunch of enemies on hear because of stupid comment and start a console war. I'm really sorry if I annoyed anyone, but I was just playing around. Please get back to the real discussion!

I love mass effect 1 & 2 but the second one's plot was lacking, it went like this

Find people, find people, find some more people, plot related tidbit, repeat

I really didn't think this topic would get so many replies even though the last 2 pages are game discussions.

That it was brother.
Personally I don't think the learning curve will drive away many people except whiny cod players that want to just run around one-shotting everyone.
Also the comment about this not doing so well could hurt SD: that can be said about literally any new game series. By being unique and not making Call of Duty Modern Gunfight Warfare Battlefield Version 7.0 you are taking the risk that it won't sell well because it won't have the automatic sequel buyers. I'm still waiting to see some real criticism of the game.
