Sorry ChWigga, Have you played the game, I purchased it through steam and have been playing it since 5AM Friday.
I was going to get the 360 version but chickened out at the last minute, mostly due to negative reviews and incorrect feedback about the games lag and game play.
Because I'm playing on a PC, my ping is below 20, I can even create and host a custom game with my own rules.
Also the forums are now reporting a much more accurate picture of the 360 lag problem, I'm not going into it here, but there are a few solutions to it.
Everything you have posted here seems incorrect to me. I am not in anyway saying Brink is better than Crysis, in-fact they both so different you can’t compare either of them to other games.
Boring - Not at all, the maps and objective require coordinated team play.
Repetitive - Well the AI or other players will react to your decisions so unless your repetitive, No.
PS2 graphics - Not according to 360 reports on the forms, they seem happy, as for the PC - DX11 = stunning graphics I’m well pleased. Wish I had purchased Crysis2 for the PC also, but that day will come soon enough.
Shocking lag - Depends on how you set-up your connection and game type. However SD has acknowledged the lag on the 360 and they are working on the problem. PC = 20ping, 2 patches already for the PC, although I’m not sure if the consoles have been patched.
Clunky Game play - No seems fine to me, movement is not as fast, but just as smooth as Crysis2.
SMART not so SMART - Yea you can sometime run up walls, just think before you leap, it works fine, hoping more games adapt this fast moving style of game play, but nothing beats Crysis for sheer speed
Retarded AI - Just a computer program within a computer program, just a set of rules, true or false variables, what do you expect, breakfast in bed?
No Replay value - Well if you don't replay how do you know, I have played a few missions about 4 times how, each time differently.
Textures not loading - I'll give you this one, although I have never read any complaints about this, PC textures are well done. Take it from me.
Totaly unfinshed & not enough effort put in to it. - I think its well-done, well thought out and a credit to SD. I have been smiling all day and most of the night, I'm well pleased with Brink as I am with Crysis2.
Going to purchase C2 from steam and hopefully when BF3 arrives, it'll be just as good as Crysis and Brink
Yeh. I played the campaign 3 times on & offline. Its repetitive & boreing imo.
Get it for 360 & I bet your opinions change regarding graphics. I dont know what fanboy site yove been reading but trust me 360 graphics svck especially when you compare it to other games & I dont mean the cartoon look, I mean the crisp & quality of it.
To say you cant compare Brink to Crysis or any othe FPS is (sorry) but stupid. I dont know what it is that makes you think that. Nearly everthing thats been done in Brink has been ripped from a combination of other FPS games that came before it. Seeing as Brink came after these it svcks arse for 360 in all departments. I doubt any HC FPS will take this game serious.
The only thing Brink has going for it is Character customization & COOP even then the CC is not as good as they were making out. As for the AI comment. Is that really your excuse for a game released in 2011. I say no more.
These are just my opinions, but the majority of 360 users from what i've seen somewhat agree. I'm glad your enjoying & most people on PC & PS3 are until PSN comes back & they'll see the lag first hand. 360 users are not happy. I'm not happy with it & I knew I was getting it free so I aingt being biased. I know I would be pissed if I wasnt getting my $ back
