http://www.facebook.com/notes/brink/first-wave-of-great-brink-reviews-spawned/10150172376499412 have most of the good reviews been posted, and Brink even got a 10/10. Amazing!
It seems to me like this is a game that you either love, or you hate. The reviews have been so diffrent, and it almost looks like it is 2 diffrent games comming out...
Do you guys think this is a game you either hate or love?
Wow. It's seeming polarising, isn't it. The best reviews are from the people who see past the flaws, the worst reviews are from people who don''t like the innovation.

people need to stop judging games by review.. nerds always harp about game bugs... shut up and play. if YOU don't like it, don't play it. I admit there are a few things not up to par but the game is fun.

When there is a demo thats a fair criticism. But people have to use reviews and user impressions if they dont want to go bankrupt.
lol have anyone noticed? americans seem to hate brink but europeans seem to love it?
To be fair, I am american, so are the 4 people on my friends list who bought the game, and it became our new addiction well before the sun set. This game is everything i wanted it to be, perhaps a tiny bit more. My only gripe is the lack of a proper lobby, me and my friends were placed into seperate teams trying to play versus on a few occasions.

That sounds like Lair, except without the legitimate reason. Lair's US version was broken on release, the other versions actually had working controls.

dont get me wrong, im not saying that americans wont like,i just found it amusing that there was such a big difference between american and european reviews.
The more I play, the more I like it. At first I was a little underwhelmed but I got deeper into it as the night went on, played with 2 friends, and now I can't stop thinking about it.

This is exactly how I feel. Minus the frustration with the Be More Objective challenge, It's quite fun as long as you have at LEAST a couple other human players on your team. When you have a full team rolling into the objective, it's pretty awesome.
both gaming sites that i look at... IGN gave it a (60) and 1up gave it a (D). idk if the reviewers didn't like it and just put their own personal opinions or these sites were not PAID by bethesda to give it great reviews! you know what i'm talking about, for example: METAL GEAR SOLID 4 got a 10/10 on ign. i bought that svcker and it literally was the worst game EVER imo.
my opinion is if you were excited about it you'll probably love it regardless of reviews. if you're wanting to buy it and are being swayed by reviews, DON'T. love it or hate it, that's how it works!

There might be something to what you are saying... I don't put my trust in IGN anymore, that is for sure.
Another great review: Finnish gaming magazine Pelit (the biggest gaming magazine in the nordic countries http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelit) gave Brink 86/100 which is very nice.
"The lively newcomer counting in co-operation between players does not sink into endless swamp of mediocre online shooters. Cartoony look and saucy movement distinguishes it from it's competitors."
The review was for Xbox and it gave the most criticism for bad AI ("Brink can't be recommended for solo play"), texture loading issues (isn't this mostly for Xbox? I hope it gets fixed for you guys!) and only few maps (They were hoping for addon content sooner or later).

I have both the PC Version of the game and the Xbox 360 version and to be honest first playing the PC version I would give it a solid 9, but after playing the Xbox version I would give it a 6. The lag issues I experienced on the Xbox kill the game along with some other minor problems that the PC version doesn't seem to share. With that I can understand the different reviews if you get the 360 version and get lucky enough to have very little lag it's a good game and on the PC if you are lucky enough to not have game ending bugs it's a fantastic game. If they can get some patches out to fix these issues it can be a great game all around.
