i wouldnt call it a fail just yet but its deff. heading towards that direction. SD had alot of good ideas but in the end the ideas really took away from the game.

I can't speak for PC, but I'm absolutely certain the technical catastrophe at launch helped butcher the active population to the point it's at. The game itself is extremely entertaining, and I don't see it quite as "niche" as everyone seems to view it, but as a new ip it just couldn't survive the glaring development oversights at launch (no lobbies, horrid netcoding, the like). Hopefully the free dlc will jack the player pool up a bit with fixes to the technical issues as well.

Texture issues, lag, and matchmaking are still very much present on 360. Personally I never had very much lag from the outset, but to say "oh it's fine, everyone" is absurd. Outside of that I think your post was complimentary of the game's entertainment value. Rest assured, I agree.

So you were so amused with your little "joke" on the SD forums that you thought you needed to join these forums and post it here as well?

Another pathetic person who's life is so insignificant and meaningless that they need to post on the forum for the sheer and sole purpose of "trying" to look cool, but failing mightily. Not the 1st person, and sadly not the last.

Well, considering it's the stats on Steam, and only the PC version uses Steam...

Yeah, says it all really.

Also, I'm pretty sure this is a niche market game, and the playerbase is going to build slowly, and isn't going to get huge, but the fans will remain LOYAL to the game - assuming they make no epic War fro Cybertron-scale blunders releasing map packs that break the game or something.
