Yea I'm just saying because any great player knows that when your playing strategic you wont be in the hotzones you'll try and cut the enemy of from the objective setting up a defensive line to cut them off from there spawn. Not only that but like I said killing enemies is a primary thing in an FPS and can change the tide of a battle if someone is skilled enough to take out a squad alone so why shouldnt they be rewarded thats all I am saying. Not saying you shouldnt be rewarded for completing objectives just think killing enemies is important to you dont want everyone on your team battling to complete the objective so they get the points and everyone getting killed because of it.
And yea if they are shooting it may not be hard to headshot but alot of times people run away and with the S.M.A.R.T system in place going to be alot more difficult to land those shots not to mention I bet it wil be a little harder then you think considering you can still shoot while in animation or you may be outnumbered so headshots being headshots is important. Iono how its going to be but just saying it shouldnt take 8-15 shots to kill someone when your shooting them in the head 2-4 at the very most.
And yea I hope they have little subtle differences that people can recognize if they are paying attention for the spy-disguise. For example KZ2 when they were far away looked just like a normal teamate but when they got closer could see subtle differenced in there outfit if you payed attention or like you said they woudlnt show up on the mini map hopefully they have something like this in place because would be kind of unbalanced if only other people as that class could tell the difference.
Anyways only reason I am bringing these issues up is because I want this game to be as great as it can be because i looks to be a truly epic game and I want everything to be balanced correctly and like I said hopefully they have a public beta so that we can make sure there arent any glitches on maps and everything is balanced well before release.
Being a seasoned TF2 player, I can tell you that behaviour will give away spies 9 times out of 10. (There seem to be a few TF2 players attracted to this game, I can see why) Anyway if you see a disguised Operative and he is...
A ) Moving differently to how his archetype would suggest
B ) Crossing the frontline in the wrong direction
C ) Not shooting
D ) Heading towards you in a menacing manner
Then he's pretty much given himself away, especially on servers with FF disabled since there's nothing wrong with spy-checking him with a spray of bullets to the face. I mean TF2 spies get caught a lot when relying solely on disguises and that's just due to those 4 reasons above. If the minimap gives them away in Brink then they'll be extremely easy to uncover if you're not distracted by something. Of course Brink seems to offer many more routes than TF2 thus giving an Operative a means of getting behind enemy lines, however I think you'll find that classes that implicitly rely on trickery to survive get less and less effective as the multiplayer community gets used to a new game.
