Brink isn't the first...

Post » Mon Jan 24, 2011 9:48 pm

I absolutely love Brink, and can NOT wait for it, but everyone thinks Brink is the first game to link your single and multiplayer character. Although I really love the idea, Brink isn't the first game ever to do this. Just want people to know, Rainbow Six:Vegas 2 does exactly that. Just want you guys to know.

Right, but Rainbow six doesn't have Parkour.

But it does already have that special throne in the hall of gaming legends, so there's that.

Rainbow six vegas 1 and 2 wasnt doing it like brink, there was story mode you could player singleplayer and co-op, and multiplayer was deathmatch and other game modes of the such, all xp did go into your one and only character which unlocked clothes, weapons, and other such.

Brink is better, because it's brink.

Brink is better because it doesn't have RAINBOW in its name...

Why play a hardened soldier when you can play a hardened soldier in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world with crazy parkour?

Also Jesus wasn't the first one who had followers and performed "miracles" but he changed the way we see the world.

(well he tried at least)

Nevertheless thanks :)

Well seeing as me and the other diciples of H0RSE will stand in their way, such as devil and wraith, they won't be getting near anyone from SD.

Besides that, Seeing as the holy roman empire is long gone, i doubt this will happen.

Its completely different, Brink Singleplayer and Brink Multiplayer, have the exact same objectives, missions etc. Because they are exactly the same thing.
Rainbow six just links your progress and character together, the actual gameplay between their modes are completely different, so I say no it is the first game :)
