PC Brink questions

Hello there brinkers,

few questions for the pc release of brink that im sure most of you knowledgable people on this forum have the answer to. As i cant find any videos/ information soley on the pc release of brink.
Some of you may have played it at PAX or what not but your insight will be helpful towards me preordering or not.

1. Recoil, damage, gun balancing (i wanto see heaps of recoil so shooting takes skill) what is it currently like?
2. Server files going to be released?
3. Modtools?
4. interface ( ability to change fov and mouse smoothing off?)
5. demo system?

Reason i ask these questions is at the moment the competitive scene on the PC is in desperate need of a new shooter thats fresh uses teamwork and brings back the skill factor to gaming as what has been released in the last few years has not catered for this at all.
Many people are falling in love with brinks artwork and style, but until we get more videos more feedback about the pc client we probably wont buy the product. So any insight towards the pc release of this game would be brilliant.

1. BRINK has only been showcased with gamepads so far.

2. Splash Damage and Bethesda haven't announced anything yet.

3. Not at release.

4. Both most likely possible.

5. I think you are looking for something like this?
We actually had "Theatre mode" coming up more than once, btw. Often including the whole "capture with FRAPS on PC, or HD-PVR on consoles" thing.

I've heard recoil starts off small, but rapidly turns into a big problem. A few reports from E3 say that you can fire 6 shots before recoil becomes a problem, but at the same time, bullets are weak - you usually need a full clip to kill a person.

1. Recoil is pretty minimal - hip-firing is effective.
2. pretty sure based on what Ed Stern said in an interview:

"Of course we track that information (K/D) and if you want to set up a multiplayer server that’s all about that, the data is there for you."


3. no official word
4. yes, there is a console for commands.

Awesome. I picked up a Razer Nostromo a few weeks ago for BRINK, had no clue they were using gamepads.
:celebration:

I'd still like to know what neat features us PC users will be getting after release besides the already confirmed DLCs.
SDK would be nice as mentioned before, but I can think of many others.
