Awesome, now I can also buy LA noire, which we should probably thank for this movement of release date, I can see why they want to release it a week before R*'s new piece of work.

There was one game before that did it. I don't remember which game it was, but I remember one of the gaming news sites even commenting on it, either Gamespot or Ign. Again it was only by a week, but still. Its awesome for us and a rarity in the business.

I wonder if this will affect midnight launches. I don't know if Brink is big enough for a midnight launch. L.A. Noire and Brink together was. Hopefully Brink still will get its midnight launch. Either way, I'd rather get it at 10:00am tuesday the 10th instead of midnight on the 17th.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a release date moved up before.

I came into this post, thinking that it was just another confused individual, reading an incorrect release date off of walmart.com or something (I don't look to see who the topic creator is. Ever).

This is a good solid surprise. Brink now releases two days before my final exam. It should arrive the day of or the day after my exam. I am proud.

This is probably some of the best news ever.. well regarding games anyways.. but i have one concern. i live in Denmark. and i have checked the Gamestop web page, and it still says 20th of may. anyone have the same problem?

I just want to say: Bethesda you are awesome. The new release date means i'm getting BRINK and passing on SOCOM 4 (hate what they did with that game). Awesome move in a time when there aren't a lot of new big games out.

People need to breath in and remain calm, bethesda have only recently announced the new release date, so evidently the companies selling the games will take a couple of days to catch up and alter their info.
They also have about a month to ensure the game ships on the correct date so i'm sure it'll be fine.

Even better yet, the team feels that the game is completely finished and good enough to move the release date sooner.
Almost normal for games to be pushed back due to bugs, not being finished or other problems.
It will be great to install a game on release day and not have to apply a patch within the first 24 hours LoL

Slackers at Splash Damage have obviously been rumbled - someone has noticed that they are all down the pub because the game is ready to roll!

I just need to re-arrange my day off now from the original release date.
