As much as I would love it, I don't want to spoil all the options before I get the game.

Well, it could be like the Spore creature creator which Maxis release separately. I'm sure lots of people would love to experience such an advanced character customisation menu that Brink has :D

Personally I'm exploding with excitement about it. :shocking:

I think a flash based creator with just the options with the official released archetypes would be cool. Maybe 2 colors for each items. Just something to wet our appetite. Not saying its needed, but would certainly be cool.

YES YES YES YES YES

Give us everything the games has to offer in terms of Character and Weapon customization. However, you can only work with whatever guns, attachments, and clothing you have when you boot up the game for the first time.

I don't think it's necessary, do you?

Anyway, it's too late to make one for before release so there's no much point.

WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE MAN. I'm not sure about your last part tough, maybe they should release EVERYTHING so we could create our IDEAL/DREAM character. ;)

I would love if they released a character creator, but if they do, they should only include all the weapons, attachments, and clothing from level one. Maybe even less.

Only because if they give you the option to create your dream character of sorts, people will then be satisfied and might not want to actually get the game. If they only allow a few options to be available, then people will say "Ooh! I wonder what more customizations I can get when I level up, there's probably so many; I think I want to pick up this game."

So in theory, SD will attract more consumers if they release a character creator, but if they go too far and lay everything out on the table, they will lose consumer's attention.

It's been mentioned before, but it would have been a better choice than the page of 100 random looks they have right now.

At this point though I would think it's too late to worry about it.

Totally why I said it should be restricted to level 0 stuff.

Hell, That's what they did for Spore.

And I think if they did that a little after BRINK's release, it'd help generate more buzz for a stronger rush of incoming BRINK newbies.

It would've been nice to be able to see some basic level customization, but they are not going to do it with nine days to go.

Good point tho. They should make it a teaser, so people would want it MORE instead of getting too satisfied with it :D

That's just a combination previewer, not an actual character BUILDER.

I don't really see what purpose a character editor would serve. A weapon customization previewer would be cool, but there's no reason for SD to be the ones to make it. I've got $10 that says the community will make one within a month release.

I would have liked a mock character builder. Oh well.

At this point I'd settle for anything that gives me a piece of the game, however small. The wait for release is a truly a challenge for me.

Pretty sure all of the examples on the official website's customization gallery were done using such software. You can see how it's just the same few poses with the same few weapons in the same few positions, with Archetype parts layered amongst it all.

It would be nice, but I think we're being a bit hopeful.

I agree, it would be awesome to be able to make a character on a downloaded program or on their site, save it, and then build your actual character for the game to look like him. Halo Reach came out with that "Vanity" thing, and that worked out fine for everyone. I made my Spartan look like the one i made. So it would be awesome.

Though, I do have to also agree, that for us east-coasters, theres less the a week left, so it would seem a little pointless with it out soon. But oh well.
