On the fact that there have been FAR worse games on the market that have seen sequels, yes...we'll see a Brink 2 in a couple years.

If SD announced Brink 2 right now, I will pre-order it ASAP. BRINK is fun and I can't get enough. I'm addicted. I haven't been THIS addicted to a game since CS.

I was thinking the same thing. Give it at least 6 months and let the game settle in a bit. This game took a long time to get here so I wouldn't expect a second (if they decide to make one) until the next gen consoles.

A person that likes Brink right off the bat AND appreciates Counter Strike?
Wait a second, I already proclaimed you as my hero a thread ago. You deserved that thousand-pig sacrifice.

EDIT: killercroc357, you are one of 500 people to mention BRINK 2. Don't feel special. Not in the least.

Hahah, fair enough, I do think you're the first.

Maybe second - there was a thread a month ago about Brink 2 and someone might have spoken about Brink 3, but that wasn't very conclusive.

I'd preorder Brink 3 so as long as it built on Brink 1 and 2's ideas, but not plot or story.

The game is unique and not everyone is going appreciate that aspect just look at the reviews. This will defiantly have a cult following and they have a very good foundation to work from. I hope they don't take the reviews to heart because when you take a risk as SD has done there will be many that just don't get it. But for us that do understand it I hope they continue because my clan is having a blast with Brink so keep up the good work SD. By the way SD it plays great on pc for what ever that's worth.

They should treat brink like TF2 and make it live for a long time not make a new one each day like some other terrible games -> COD

For me, it's too early to think about Brink 2.

I need to see support for Brink 1 (patches/fixes/tweaks/DLC, etc) before I even think of supporting Brink 2.
I'm a bit let down by Brink 1 (not enough game for 60$ pre-order), so I want to see patches and DLC's for this one before spending my money on the second one so fast.

Screw graphics update, how about for Brink 2 they have a huge open world map the size of the entire Ark where we can explore every nook and cranny, and then have little mission areas kind of like Red Dead Redemption.

I really dont see a BRINK 2 in the making, but perhaps another BRINK game that takes place in the same setting/Brinkiverse. Would there still really be a resistence and sec. force still finghting over the Ark? What about the What-If missions? Storywise it would be hard to pull off.

Yes, I like to see BRINK II for sure! Just more depth into Campaign Mode. You have the map, there you can takes on diff. mission(s). Sometimes, you needs to defend your post. Other time for attackin' post. I like to have my own Base. With a Locker room with my buddies pic taken together! A weapon Shop, an armor shop & gadets shop. I like to walk around my Base in 3rd Person view talking to NPCs & PCs alike! Take it to the next level- B R I N K

I'm loving that name. Works for both Security and Resistance.

It should totally follow BOTH the Security and the Resistance, perhaps after a few years after the events of Brink. I wonder how that would work, playing two factions that aren't in reach of each other. Perhaps one faction goes to the other for help?

Maybe it wouldn't be so Security focused, as in both endings [Spoiler Alert] the Security stay and in one the Resistance leave [Spoilers Ended] so maybe (As in the thread that came up with the name Brink: A New Horizon) the mainland is a wreck and it has the Resistance and a big gang fighting for control.

I dunno though, looking back on my post it sounds quite awful, if there is a Brink 2 (Whatever name it may have) which I highly doubt, I'll leave it to experienced story tellers to make the setting

No offense, but consoles are NOT made for RTS. They're just not strong enough to render everything, and there isn't enough buttons or joystick accuracy to control everything.

Next Gen Consoles will come within a year (Nintendo's 'Prject Cafe' begin 2012 and the rest in late 2012)
