I like that it says "additional maps and new content" leaving to wonder what exactly that new content is. I'm thinking clothes, or weapons maybe new challenges.

Just read it on the front page! Free DLC! Awesome. May have to try the 4v4 mode. Sounds like it could be interesting!

This makes me happy :) I was satisfied as it was. This is like icing. Really sweet and sugary icing.

I hope the DLC is all the pre-order stuff. I would be sad if that was he case.

AI Bots:
Removed bot intelligence inhibitors for Freeplay games
Adjusted bot behaviour in Campaign games to make teams more evenly matched
Changed bots’ objective priorities across all game modes
Fixed issue with bot difficulty continually dropping

From the release notes.

Seems they updated connectivity issues and bots. I am excited to play this evening and see how substantial these changes are.

Never did i doubt Splash Damage and Bethesda for a second! I'm glad they are taking some steps towards fixing the issues. And free dlc on top just to make the situation even better.

It might be. Those pre-orders will be released at a later date anyways despite what we've heard. It is smart business
to release as much DLC as they can to make as much extra money off this game as they can. And this game really
allows for quite a bit of DLC with all the clothing and weapon customization in the game and the multitude of game
modes they could come up with. In fact, that is probably why this first DLC is free. They are probably planning on
releasing several DLC bundles in the future so they figured what is one free DLC release gonna hurt.

Awesome.

The one thing I hoped SD would do is provide continual support for Brink.

This game has just jumped from a 7.5/10 to an 8/10 for me!

I hope the DLC contains extra online game modes, not gun skins. I mean, there isn't much of a future for Brink if they just release all the crummy pre-order stuff.

This is great news and I'm glad that Splash Damage decided to listen to us fans about the free DLC... I also really like the change to battle the lag. I feel BRINK is a game best played with like 4vs4 because of the style of maps but I also feel there should be an option for the 8vs8 like some like, sounds like they are doing just this. Adding in another Freeplay option in Big Teams Battle but making it so the Standard game modes are less laggy and IMO perfect size for the game.

I like everything about the update except for the fact the most I can get on my xbox is 4v4 now... Sorry, but that's a stupid change, especially because it means if you go competitive mode it means 4 and a bot to a team... not happy with that.

Other than that though Im pretty stoked about the patch incoming and the future DLC. I'm loving it on my PC though. :-)

I hope Outfits.

There are a lot of outfits but not as many as I expected to see. I think that the 102,247,681,536,000,000 huge number of Unique Characters (including minor tint variations and body types) was a little misleading. I don't doubt that is the true number but only because there are so many parts to choose from, shirt, jacket, face, head, like two for each body part but really there is only like 10-20 options for each body part. So really it's only like 10-20 outfits with little variations.

I think adding in some new looks and new options would be cool for a side part to DLC. Of course maps are the main thing we all want to see but some more customization looks could go a long ways too.

I think the masks are generally well received and my favorite part of my character but I think we need more head options. More hoodie style jackets and more variation in hats. I also wouldn't mind seeing more shirts for both sides. I would personally like a skin tight, latex style shirt so I can make a light spy type look for an operative. No skin showing at all. Wear a mask to cove the face.

I also think there should be a all black option (black main color, black side color) for most the clothing.

Yeah but they also stated that it is for those that don't have the bandwith to support 8v8. From what I understand, this affects everyone, but it's more than likely a quick fix until they come up with a better solution.

I feel better about defending Brink, thanks Bethesda and Splash Damage for not making me look like a fool. :)

I have been asked by several of my XBL friends how the game is? So I tell them about the fun I am having getting my butt kicked by some very clever AI. I warn them that it can be hard, even on normal. I finally let them know that Brink has some seriously intense firefights, and non-stop action, and that I love it. I think its at least a 8.5 out of 10. Kudos for defending Brink it is worth the effort (imo, of course).

Thx Splash Damage, I have about 2200 hours on the 360 version of TF2, but I think I have found something that may cut into my all time favorite FPS's play time.

Assuming lag is taken care of as they state, this is fantastic news and THAT'S how you support your fanbase. I will now continue to support this game and probably buy future DLC.

Without a fast update, I would have sold this game in the coming weeks.
