yup, you can see a heavy firing one off in a gameplay snippet in a dev diary, and if you look on the E3 demo when hes about to show off weapon customization he flashes by a gun called the "gotlung gun" so go figure

don't forget multiple variants of each type too....

also...

All have pistol
lights add smg + rifle
medium adds AR + shotgun
Heavy adds Machine Guns + launchers


I see a trend.

Is there really a Rocket Launcher? :mellow: I haven't seen anything about that. Now that I think about it after watching that part about weapon customizing I couldn't tell what were the LMG

I dunno if LMG's are in, I would just assume so since they are the natural upgrade of AR's

HMG's (Gattling included) could also be clumped with LMG's as a Machine Gun category....

I'm just making guesses here :P

in the newest dev diary, you see an M249 so theres atleast one LMG lol and they are under the heavy category

i'd welcome attachments that you can't actually see. or you can see them, idc. that would shorten reload times or put more bullets in a mag, or make it fire faster, or would make it a tad more accurate. attachments that other guns have, only, possibly, internal instead of external

do you know how difficult it would be to use a scope on a minigun? You'd probally break your arm trying to lift the gun up high enough to use it.


It was a joke. I can't believe anyone took that seriously its as silly as putting a silencer on it.

a bipod would actually be really appropriate, letting you put down much more accurate and less spread of gunfire down.

You sacrifice mobility... ALL mobility, but you'd basically make urself a super turret.

Wouldn't count on it though lol

The heavy weapons confirmed are Grenade Launchers, LMGs, Gatling gun and rapid fire shotgun as far as I know.

might be fun with an AR..... not sure if that seems worth it though considering that a GL + a normal shotty seems like a better all around combo.

Or an LMG + normal shotgun....

I bet a big heavy health buffed enemy with an auto-shotgun in CQC would be terrifyingly powerful actually

They won't nerf one of the main weapon groups so far in if there still around, I think auto shotguns should have the same clip size, accuracy, etc. but are automatic. Since they are heavy only weapons (now) i could live with higher damage.
Or they could go the easy MW2 way and nerf auto shotties with low ammo and low clip size, actually a pretty good balancing method imo

They definately should not have the same accuracy and clip size. MW2 barely nerfed them at all, just equip Sleight of Hand Pro and you can go til you run out of ammo. You can shoot people from 20 feet away with an auto shotgun. If theyr going to nerf them, at least reduce their accuracy, distance, and damage. It doesnt matter if their heavy, and clip size isnt a big factor IMO, but accuracy and distance ARE.

Well the shotgun is a med weapon and the auto shotgun is a heavy.

thats true but a shotgun that keeps its damage after traveling 20 feet is over powered any way you look at it..


Indeed the shotgun is a situational weapon for close range.
