The scope is bigger than the gun itself, isn't it?
Nah... About the same length actually but most pistols are probably a tad longer then todays ACOG.
An ACOG is only like 4.5" or so long.
Don't quote me on that, surely wrong, but I did hold a Berretta 9mm and an ACOG within minutes of each other, and I remember the pistol being a tad longer.
There was absolutely no way whatsoever to mount the ACOG on the Berretta though... it also would have looked ridiculous, and [censored] up the weighting of the pistol (which is balanced by design)
It's also a ludicrous idea. Pistols are generally used only out to 50m.... if you need a 4x scope to shoot a target only 50m away..... you should never... ever.... hold a firearm.
@Matt: Gatling guns tend to have an external frame that holds the spinning barrels... so you can mount something above or below the barrels on that frame.... most common would be laser sighting, though you could also mount a LARGE (I mean large in diameter) sight on top,... like those classic sights on WW2 planes or ..... Gatling guns
There could also be "parts" for it that would maybe speed up the wind up process (aka you start shooting actual bullets faster) faster reload, more ammo per belt, etc.
BTW: as a footnote I'd like to add that the concept of taking a Gatling gun, lifting it up to shoulder height with just your 2 hands, aiming, and firing is absolutely re-donk-u-lous. It's fine in the game, I don't really care about realism.... but it's something to keep in mind if your going to start point out any absurdities with the Gatling gun. Having the Gatling gun as a personal weapon is, in of itself, a absurdity.
