Brink zombies

As awesome as zombie's may be, I completely agree with you - they don't need to show up in every game. Especially not when they've only been thrown in as a gimmick

Yeah don't get me wrong, big fan of zombie films. Just... GAH.

Edit: Strangles dead ninja, because I couldn't catch one alive.

which is why i mentioned it then i spazzed thinking of ninja vs pirates

but for it to be more like brink Ninja vs Samurai would be awesome

I'm wondering how Splamage could incorporate into the Brink franchise somehow. I'm trying to think of Brink 2 being parkour in 1500's Japan, but there wouldn't be any shooting. Hmmm...

Running zombies would be cool. Maybe some other form of life attacking instead of zombies?

I could see some sort of Pirate I guess. I still would rather not have it though.

I dunno, I feel like that's been done too much. Futuristic guns... I don't feel like there'd really be anything we haven't seen already. It may be my own creative inability to think of new sorts of guns, but that's just what I think.

As for a dystopian future where we go back to crossbows and trebuchets... that might work, if it's done more creatively, but I still feel like it's too common.

I like the ninjas fighting the samurai. I really can't even say I've seen that anywhere that I can recall. I've seen ninjas fighting ninjas, I've seen samurai fighting samurai, Americans from the same period, and demons. I don't at all expect it from Brink, so I guess I'm going off-topic, but I'll just say this: any game with the prospect of ninjas and samurai fighting (hopefully you can play both sides, but atleast let me be a sneaky ninja) would instantly draw me in.

Post apocalyptic story/gameplay is always interesting because it's just a strong thing to unite as humans and fight for something other than oil. Zombies can get a little overdone and childish, and monsters that are ridiculous can just be annoying. So if you could find a way to do a post apocalyptic style DLC without crossing those lines it would be pretty cool. I don't care for call of duty zombies but when I played zombies in halo it was one of the few times I would actually work with my fellow team-mates. we would all run around and find a good defensive positions and hold off against the swarm together. With the team-work oriented gameplay this game tries to achieve I think it could be cool. Just because it's overdone doesn't mean it was done right, this is an innovated team that could do it. I'm not saying it has to be zombies, anything that set's it up to wear the resistance and security would have to merge together and fight to survive against an alien force. (by alien i don't mean actual aliens, unless that floats your boat.)

This post made me think of Fallout Multiplayer, in my head it seems so awesome.

Anyways, i wouldn't like to see acutaly ZOMBIES in game.. But Zombie Themed gear... like 'Blood Splatter' shirt.. 'Grave Robbing' Gloves

'Vermin Zombie Exterminator' Jacket.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I'm really sick of companies throwing half ass Zombie Mods into their video games.
Too many people are doing it, most likely because its become a trend.

Vote: No

A good zombie mode would be good. But to me Nazi Zombies feels gimmicky and isn't actually fun.

WANT.

A Brink Vampires mod would be cool, with Light, high health Vampires facing down Mid/Heavy Hunters at night. Hunters using stakeguns and flashbangs, Vamps using claws and teeth in melee.

The idea has been brought up a lot.

"A lot" in links:

No, there shouldn't be any zombies. There are enough zombies. If I want to shoot zombies, I'll play Left 4 Dead. This game is supposed to be different. Considering all the people who whine about the flood of sequels and clones, you guys want the same thing on this game? This game actually shows promise, it has about the same customization as Halo: Reach, and offers team-based gameplay not unlike Team Fortress 2. Considering how Team Fortress 2 on PC has become focused solely on people just getting random items. So this should be welcome.

So to sum it up...
Zombies-No, because there hasn't been a good zombie mode in a while
Pirates-Potentially
Werewolves- Not really
Vampires-Not really
Ninjas-We would like
Samurai- Would be nice to see

Now they COULD go Terminator and have humanoid robots, but I'd say no.

And to address brink 2 posts....I don't think SD would make a serious game and then turn around and say "Hey, for the sequel let's go in the opposite direction and make all these different game types!! =D "
That, I hope/think, wouldn't happen... :spotted owl:

I don't any of that to ever happen in Brink.

I like the theme they're doing now: Brink.

Brink.

Brink.
Zombies? NO!
Brink. Yes please.
Pirates? NO!
Brink. Yes Please.
The Rest? NO!
Brink. Yes! Please!

I was just summing up this thread... The only thing I would want in a free expansion of the "What if" level is having the ark invaded by http://shanghaiist.com/attachments/shanghailaine/somali_pirate.jpg

Pirates? NO!

I think out of all of them pirates are the least likely to happen because the story is about the ark (maybe) being alone in the world. So unless everyone at S.D. goes mad it is unlikely appear in any DLC (which no one know if they are going to make any DLC)

http://brinkthegame.com/media/videos/ says that not everybody went to the ark. People could have banded together and formed raiding parties...Found the ark and, boom, supplies for the taking

(Your Faction Vs Pirates)
Pirates will have cannons (2) and rocks to through at you and you will have your normal stuff gun, your customized guy, ect.
You are trying to keep the pirates away from the safezone which is where poeple who don't fight are stored.Your objective are to save the sitisins by escorting them to the safezone and your other objective is to keep the pirates away from the safezone.

How will Class based system Work?
-Opertive: Can put on a camo suite for 15 or 20 secs but then has to recharge for dubble the amount of time you used.
-Medic:You will always have a total of 8 players on your team so you can always medic and heal yourself.
-Eingineer:Being a engineer you can build up to 2 turrets at a time and repair key berricades
-Soldier:When you are a soldier you can give your team ammo and have 15 to 20% exstra health.

Why couldn't i just use the smart button to hide from pirates?
As i mentined earlyer pirates have cannons and rocks to through.

How many poeple would play on one map?
8 vs pirates

How do i win?
By getting all sitisins to the safezone and holding off the pirates for 15 mins.

If the zombies don't shoot back then what's the point?

EDIT: Pirates maybe as a third faction in DLC, but they would need their own looks and just as many weapon options.
