Make a good argument on behalf of zombies then. How would they factor into class based gameplay? What's to stop a player from using SMART to get somewhere the zombies can't, and just shoot them all? Why do it at all?

Because the new people are too new to understand why their ideas are horrid.

Basically, yea, zombies are over-done. Mostly, Brink is (more than trying to, but is) it's own game. Adopting ideas from other titles isn't their game. You don't redefine a genre by copying others. Brink is absolutely redefining FPS games. Splash Damage is releasing a FPS game with NO team deathmatch and NO zombies. No firefight mode. No combat training mode.

Brink is a game about fighting both sides of the story, however you want, if you want, when you want. You can play the final mission fresh out of the case. This game is made for you to run around, always moving, doing what needs to be done to complete the objective and move forward. You customize your character much more than almost every FPS has ever allowed, and take this guy on both sides of the blurry line that divides single-player and multi-player.

Be prepared for something you can't prepare for. Brink is gonna blow us all away.

Because many of the new people come up with ideas that don't really integrate well with the idea of Brink. Brink is trying to stray from the norm of other FPSs and a mode like zombies won't help.

It would get in class based game by using the class based system as multiplayer has. E.G depending on how much money you have the upgrades bought on one class will effect all the other classes so depending on your money is the way it effects all classes so if you choose engineer the upgrades you payed for on the other classes also upgraded the engineers wepons and upgrades. While using the smart button for E.G you clime up a wall and try to camp their but the zombies will through rocks at you to effect your health like in Blacklight tango down. Why do it all for the new exspirince in zombies whith the smart button class based zombies cumstom auto turrets to place where you want with the engineer it would be amazing.

So you basically want Nazi zombies. Only difference is Zombies can throw rocks and classes have access to abilities.

No I rather keep Brink a little on the realistic side. Just because it's a little in the future doesn't mean aliens will come and get us.

You clearly didn't see the Combine-ish guy in the A Matter of Class trailer.

Reason number 6 why the Sloani mask will be worth getting.

^ Ninjas were the oppressed Japanese's answer to noble samurai who abused their status. That would better fit in with Brink, since it's the oppressed rising up to even the playing field with their better-off oppressors.

You should've read the next part of my post.

It just isn't what Brink is about. Whether it's zombies, aliens, or sparkly vampires prancing around, the "for poops and giggles" modes aren't what Splash Damage is trying to accomplish. Call of Duty had time to come with that since the core of their games has been established. Brink is the protozoa starting from scratch. There might be some little extra mode in a potential Brink 2, but the first game is focusing on setting up the basics and getting those right.

Although there are few things I like in this world more than the mindless slaughter of hordes of zombies, I too don't think it would fit in. Although I could see it being fun if the zombies were also very agile, I think having them at all would completely ruin the entire point to having different classes. After all, what is an operative going to do? Disguise themselves as a zombie? Please.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I'm really sick of companies throwing half ass Zombie Mods into their video games.
Too many people are doing it, most likely because its become a trend.

As awesome as zombie's may be, I completely agree with you - they don't need to show up in every game. Especially not when they've only been thrown in as a gimmick
