I believe I'll be playing this game for a long time.

Who buys a Battlefield game for the singleplayer?

(Raises hand)
The sandbox "practice" SP of BF1942, BFV and BF2 ensure I can have a quick SP battle that's not as predictable as a MoH/CoD-style campaign. I have played many a good battle in those games (though I mostly only play '42 with mods - not a fan of its unrealistic vanilla classes.)

It'll do very well. Prolly will have a sequel in the works shortly after launch. DLC is what will keep this game afloat though, as is the success with any shooter these days. Looking forward to see where this game stands in the competitive scene.

No re-spawn isn't unique to gears... that started back in SOCOM / CS

Marine Doom was no-respawn.

I played Quake on custom servers with no respawns quite a lot (and even more with limit of 5 or less), and the number of no-respawn mods was obscene.

Nice try though.

for consoles it will depend on how easy it is for clans to get matches imo.
honestly see it having a fan base but not a large one on consoles once the initial moments wear off and clans move onto a game with better clan support

I hope the game sticks. If this works the way I think it does, I will be playing this and BF3 (when it drops) and probably nothing else, though I will have to break for Alice: Madness Returns, but that will be a quick break

I definitely believe this game is going to have lasting appeal. Just from the different classes and the customization. I hope they come out with DLC packs maybe adding more maps or more weapons/customization options for the character. This seems like a game that has a lot of potential for greater things.

I am really interested to see the DLC aspects, and this could open the gates for some really awesome customization to take place. Map packs would be amazing, but to be honest, i do NOT want to see zombies... anywhere...
