ok, so i am posting in this section cause i do not want to get any spoilers, but i have to ask. i am on my 2nd play thru, lvl 61, and still have not seen or heard of this broadsider weapon. is it that rare, or am i just completely missing a quest line?

Spoiler
You're missing a questline. you might want to investigate the wreck of the USS Constitution in North-East Boston.

As they already said...

Also, it is pretty cool. Not super useful for my character, but maybe for you! :D

edit: in real life, small cannon like this would probably have weighed on the order of 200+ pounds. Kind of a silly idea for a weapon, but it goes with the quest, quite well ;)

The weapon would be quite useful if it wasn`t for Gauss Rifle... which surpasses it in just about every possible way...

Your choice :) Though it only contained the starting point for what you're missing.
