I broke SKYRIM :(

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 6:16 am

HI,

To all MMOplayers, DO NOT grind quests, do not rush gear smithing, or you' ll break the game.

I finished main quest, legion, companion, thieves, magic university, and dark brother hood. I'm 100 in smithing, and I'm now full daedric @level 38

Now the only way for me to level up is to spend the rest of my skyrim life opening safes, spamming fire bolts and heal to improve talents I dont really need.

Most of quests remaining now seem to bo random radiant ones.

And now I wish I wouldn't have done this so quickly.

Flame me I deserve it :-(

You know, you can always reroll a new character...

Just saying. It's allowed. It's even in the rulebook.

This is why we need the Creation Kit. I'm already bored with Skyrim and I'm just grinding the last few achievements or rolling new toons.

This is why I'm taking it slow.

I'm 40 hours in and I feel like I've only scratched the surface.

Same here, this game deserves to be savoured and taken in. OP it's a shame mate, it's hard to not want to do
It all at once but when you do, it's all gone.

Nearly the same, and my quest log is like, full. Full-full. Exploring is the beauty of this game!

Well you could try not using the daedric armor and levelling other skills if you want to make the game more difficult. Just because you have the skills doesn't mean you have to use them!

That's what I'm doing. I have only completed about three of the main quest. I'm working on the collage quest and other random quests.

Yup, 50 hours in and barely into Act 2 of the MQ. Too busy messing with the side/misc quests, smithing and picking flowers to worry about "dem bliddy dragons".

Don't try to do everything with one character, you'll get more mileage out of this games.

Also this.

Have a few specialized characters as opposed to one "god" character. Much more fun and fulfilling, IMHO.

I started play at november 12, but i still didnt even started Main Quest.

I gone try do side quests first,im playing on master difficulty only. I also having fun without quests, exploring map, clearing caves, and killing evry hostile npcs.

I mean if you finish Main quest first, side and misc quests will be not fun to do.

I also playing 3-4 characters at same time, for example i clearing cave 1 with mage, then loading warrior save and clearing same cave with warrior.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I wanted to say something, but its already a tragedy.

Reset, with characters designed to approach different aspects of the game, do it slowly, take your time.. theres probably a bunch of stuff you didn't realise was there.

You can always use the "restart game with current character" option to start where you exited helgen as whatever lvl u are and keep ur gear. Just all the quests are like u have never done them.

Is that an official option? I didn't even know it existed.

Yeah realizing that the main quests in TES games are only about 2 hours of gameplay allows you to "fix" the devs laziness on your own in your own way
